New as in people meeting them and wanting to participate in the comminity, not on terms of membership length

Lots of people do, but I think Mikal was technically welcoming them to participate in the forums, since they're not extremely new to the site, just to the forums.

It's more in my own initiative , in times I can do it. It's like a buddy program. If there are 2 or even three of these running, it won't hurt. Better chance to find new people

Because I'm letting anyone partner with no guidelines. I'm spamming out PMS to online users then passing it off to people. It's similar but I'm not moderating the setup at all. It's similar just slightly more spammy and I'm using it to gather data

Fair enough, but I did say mentors in my program could take someone they find on their own.

Yeah, that'd probably be good. There's already some crossover in the mentors so it'd probably reduce any confusion.
