As far as my understanding goes, once they are confiscated, they are secured for use, if needed, in the criminal case, and then they are destroyed. Does anyone keep a watch over whether in fact they ARE destroyed, because it can be 'leaked' back into the system if this watchdog body is not careful. How strong/ independent is the body?

Plus, suppose A sells the drugs to B, and there is a transfer of $2 million from B to A. The government is entitled to confiscate this, but how? If they catch B with drugs, Do they go after A and seize the monetary value of the drugs from their account? Or do they just arrest them and leave the money be?

They freeze the whole account and then begin forfeiture proceedings against it.
Mimshot: I support the 1956 Republican platform
DDMx: So, you're a socialist?
