I have a debate coming up and I was assigned as the Prime Minister. Our topic is "Armed revolution is the solution to extreme class inequality". I am new to these kind of subjects and I was wondering if anyone can hook me up with a few sources so that I could get started on my speech?

Try reading some of Mao's writings.

Do you really believe that? Or not? If you believe it, you should man up and defend it in a debate. -RoyLatham

If you are pro: Start from the Marx's dialectical materialism. http://en.wikipedia.org...

Read some of Mao too. For a modern interpretation, David Harvey is bamf.

If you are con: Read Mises. Kuznet's curve would support your hypothesis, and then go on about how socialism would just make everyone equally poor, which is obviously worse than having unequal distribution of wealth.

Are you Pro or Con?

If Pro, I would read Marxist Literature for some arguments, as the resolution was 1st proposed by Karl Marx and forms the basis of Marxism. A good start would be the manifesto for the communist party.

If Con, I would read up on classical economic and neoclassical economic literature, like Adam Smith's wealth of Nations. Maybe watch some of Milton Friedman's videos (Friedman is mainly a Chicago school economist).
