Do you mean Austrian economics?

If so Mises.org is a good starting point. I'm not sure where to go for constructive criticism against it, but I'm sure somebody will share that.

I just read an article where an Austrian economist said that all parties should be considered before making an economic policy. What is wrong with that?

Just wondering, has anyone considered the possibility that the OP was asking about Australia's economy?

I just realised I wasn't the first to think of that; SamStevens was. :P

I think your main problem, judging by your OP, is that you don't have directions.

I don't know anything about Australia specifically, but I think to get a good picture of what an economy is like, you need these:

-GDP, GNP, real and nominal, per capita. Changes throughout recent history.
-Composition of GDP (primary, secondary, tertiary industries), percentage of labour supply employed by each. Maybe details into specific industries (e.g. wheat-sheep farming) of particular significance to Australia.
-Inflation and unemployment, the two problems that bug every economy.
-Factors of production: land, labour, capital, entrepreneurship available. Quality and average productivity of labour. How is capital raised? Where is the stock exchange? Background information on it?
-What is the currency and its history? Maybe what the legal tender looks like?
-What is the banking system like? Where is the Central Bank and what are its functions and responsibilities? What types of commercial banks are there? What types of deposits do they accept? What are their role in the economy?
-Role of government. Progressive tax? Regressive? What types of tax are there? How large is the public sector, and to what extent are public utilities privatised? Transfer payments? Don't miss out transfers in kind either, or you could get a distorted picture. Any policies to encourage business? Tax cuts, subsidies? Competition law?
-Role in international trade. Does it rely on certain types of exports or imports? Does it play a huge role in the exports of certain commodities (like agricultural products in Australia's case)? Tariffs, import quotas? Amount of foreign direct investment, foreign portfolio investment? Capital inflow/outflow?

Just some ideas to get you started. I'm sure you can easily find relevant information with these subtitltes available. ;)
