A market system that is free, by far. It facilitates economic growth on a wide basis. Without restrictions from government, a business can flourish exponentially. It also preserves the exchange of ideas, wealth, and products (i.e. globalization). This also assists in a pool of goods from all around. It also allows different values to be legitimized by trade (i.e. I value X as equal to Y and vice versa).

I'm a good deal socialist but not completely, I think that for capitalism to thrive wealth can't stay at the top completely as if complete capitalism is in place eventually wealth gets stuck at the top and all the other classes get left in the dust.

A Laissez-Faire Capitalist system, in my opinion, is the best kind of economic system.

Never get the free market mixed up with Welfare Capitalism or Crony Capitalism. For a free market to exist, it has to go against these very same ideals of corporate dependency on government subsidies or protections.

Let me understand this, government is ran by corrupt politicians paid for by the elite, therefore corrupted government must protect people from the elite. That makes no sense.

The government regulation protects the elite, that is why they purchase politicians.

Who rights the regulation? Corrupt politicians that are hand fed by corporations. Government regulations are corporations regulating themselves with governmental force to keep the people inline. Conservatives and progressives both have large corporate backers that expect the rent to be paid. Both are more than willing to pay this rent at the expense of the rest of the population.

*Total* implementation and practice of virtually any economic (or otherwise) system is going to have it's flaws... But overall, I'm asserting capitalism, as a free market, regulated, system is by far preferable to socialism (even if not total). I'm arguing this, though, under the pretense of the US, obviously, where fundamental human rights have been assured since conceived (justifiably and rightly so). But, I agree with what you're saying, tyranny of the majority can just as easily become tyranny of minority.

That's why I'm against jury nullification, but that's another thing entirely. :P

In a free market, government does nothing on behalf of corporations. That means no subsidies, no protectionism, and certainly no regulation. When a man says free market, it's implicitly assumed that there are no monopolies, as private monopolies are not free market. In fact, most monopolies only stay afloat because of government.

Once again, government needs to be decreased in size and power to make sure the room for corruption and altering of the market becomes slimmer and slimmer. When government gets big, industrialists take it over, and that match of Wall Street and Washington being together is of no good to the ordinary people.
