An umbrella term is a term that covers a set that covers ideas, concepts, &ct that fall into the same category....

Examples include--
1. Venus figurines (from diverse time periods)
2. Psychokinesis
and so on.

Pretty much all school subjects are umbrella terms--such as "science," for one.

Or any man that breathes on earth.
