i had to take critical reasoning, which coverd fallacies and argument papers but not a course called logic. this is for a biology degree in the UC system. i'm sure if you're getting a philosophy degree it will be different.
if state farm has perfected teleportation technology why do they still sell car insurance?

Um, I don't think you can teach logic. Logic is genetic as far as I am concerned. Only an academic would think they wrote the book on logic.

And with the stroke of a pen people 18 to 21 who own a gun became criminals and public enemy #1 having committed no crime and having said nothing. Just like the Jews in Germany during WW2. Must be a weird feeling.

When I hear people crying and whining about their first world problems I think about the universe with everything in it and people in wheelchairs and all of their problems go away.

I took logic circuits, does that count?
Crying about how much the Trump wall is going to cost is like a heroin addict complaining about how much the needles cost.

You're thinking of "reason" or perhaps "logos."

Logic is about principles governing inference and deduction.

Examples: First Order Logic, Booelan Logic, syllogistic logic, etc.
