He knew that his books and speeches made him an enemy of religious fanatics who had made many threats to kill him, but he continued to assert reason over superstition and pursue truth at all costs. The world needs more courageous men like Hitch.

Also, I've seen a few days worth of debates he's won and speeches he's delivered. He had a great sense of humor and could recite passages from nearly everything he read. If he was on this site, he would be the top debater in three months. Meow.

He actually advocated against sexism by advocating against religion.

His support of the Iraq War, although, is abysmally ridiculous (see my debate with a Hitchen's fanatic).

that doesnt really follow. you could argue that he was a sexist feminist maybe, in that he thought women should have the same rights, but that they would fail anyways since they weren't men.(specifically comedy, maybe some other things)
and viceversa that men cant raise children as well as women

I don't expect him to be perfect. I'm not even an Atheist.

Gandhi was a flaming racist but what he did was still pretty cool.

idk i think we should admire attributes or certain deeds, not entire people thats probably why i posted.

Lol. Not at all. I've rebutted all your utilitarianism points and shown why they can't be used in this context. Also, you haven't even mentioned my strongest argument- the fact that utilitarianism is forward looking.

Hitchens was among the best essayists of modern times, and he was a thoroughly independent thinker. You could agree or disagree, but you always understood what Hitchens believed and why.

LMAO. PCP is just mad that he is to smart to believe the things he believes. People like Hitchens don't make his situation any better.
