Right after graduation, Harvard University"s graduates are earning less than those from the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology after a decade-long commodity bull market created shortages of workers as well as minerals.

Way too many people believe that the school they go to is more important than what they actually study.

Unless you intend to be a doctor or a lawyer or an engineer, it is unlikely that a degree in anything else will earn you more many than someone with a highschool diploma. Ambition is the key to success not a college degree in sociology or some other who gives a crap field.
It's not your views that divide us, it's what you think my views should be that divides us.

If you think I will give up my rights and forsake social etiquette to make you "FEEL" better you are sadly mistaken

If liberal democrats would just stop shooting people gun violence would drop by 90%

No, I think Harvard is the best university in the world today. I disagree with their economics and political science programs, but other than that, it's an incredible concentration of the most talented and brilliant people on the planet.

How do you disagree with their economics and political science programs?

Economics: They teach New Keynesianism, which is basically to economics what a witchdoctor is to medicine. Reliably, its theories didn't predict the Dot-Com Bubble, the Housing Bubble, or the Great Recession. Many of its graduates go on to be corporate shills in government. The film Inside Job (although it is ridiculous in some aspects) ties the link between Ivy League schools' professors like Harvard professor John Campbell.

Political Science: You've probably heard all heard the joke that circulated after the collapse of central planning in Eastern Europe and the former USSR, how the only place in the world where Marxists were still thriving was the Harvard political science department, right? Basically it's one of the only places where socialism and interventionism are taught fervently in the US.

You know, of the list of economist that predicted the great recession, many of them were new Keynesian. Just to let you know.
