I personally love the idea of it, I feel you get most education from learning yourself anyways. I personally am trying to do online school.
One day I saw a man walking down the street, and he walked up to me and said, "Did you know that humans are the only species who tear down trees to make paper, and then write 'save the trees!' on them." I was amazed, then everyone else looked at him and glared with annoyance. I was the only one that actually cared, about the trees, about the man, about the world.

What online School? Did you see my other thread about accredited colleges? You ought to read it.

I saw it. And it is accredited.

Has anyone ever thought of or actually pursued self-education here on DDO?

While I'm in school, I definitely can't take everything I want, so I am going to have to pursue self-education to learn about some subjects, specifically philosophy, economics, and history. Although I don't think I'm going to get near enough information from DDO.
I'm becoming less defined as days go by, fading away, and well you might say, I'm losing focus, kinda drifting into the abstract in terms of how I see myself.

I would imagine so about your comment on DDO.

I mean there's little to learn on DDO. Pretty much all it does is force you to challenge or change your opinions, but all of my opinions I did this with I decided with external substantiation. DDO was simply the spark.

You mean on our personal time, homeschooling, or college? I personally read and research most of my free time.

That's the great thing about DDO.. It allows you to learn more about yourself and become a better debater... Not just on DDO, but in real life too.

Not just on your free time, but literally teaching yourself a degree in something. For example, an associates in psychology.

Is that even possible? You mean I can set up a college curriculum for myself, under government consent?

It's simple, understand ALL the minor courses that lead up to the degree you are pursuing and fully study each subject, testing yourself of how much you learned by presenting questions for each subject which would usually take a month to learn, then go back and answer all the questions for each subject after you have completed them all without referring to your notes or work you have done. Believe it or not, if you call into an employer and you can prove to them you have gained the knowledge to do the job, they will hire you.

Well of course, you won't have an official degree, but it will be just as beneficial.
