Schools what the f*** seriously Too many problems with school im in 8th grade im 14 and noticed something really f***ed up censorship is extreme in schools this link is just an example https://www.youtube.com... schools are banning books like how to kill a mockingjay the catcher in the rye why so it says f*** or ni**** there is way worse things out there in my school i got detention for writing the word jerk i personally think that is extreme and a direct violation of the first amendment freedom of speech religion press etc there banning books like that but still i here my teachers curse all the time there's books in our library with curse words in it and porn scenes they are not banned but books kids have been reading for years have been banned god back then they probably knew less curse words the we do I think as long as not not directed at someone cursing should be aloud in schools if said to another teachers/student etc then discipline should be enforced otherwise I say let them curse again a direct violation of the first amendment. Another problem is schools digging into students business off school grounds http://www.cnn.com... If you clicked on the link you can probably agree way to extreme a god damn former FBI agent isnt that too far I get you want to keep your students safe but if they don't do anything at the school or school related then why punish them if its happening after school report it to the police its there job not yours and in the first place teachers or principals should not be searching up your name and looking at things like instagram facebook and twitter thats your personal business im done for now my fingers hurt lol argue it up.

so, being a junior in high school, i noticed that just school in general is really F***** up. no joke. compare our American system to another country, say Finland.

1. even before children start kindergarten, early education is provided for EVERYONE for FREE. it is NOT mandatory but highly recommended. i mean, who wouldn't take up free, early education for their children anyway??

2. Children start kindergarten at the age of 7 years old unlike America in which we started at age 5-6.

3. school is only 5 hours long!! not only that but after every teaching session is a 15 minute break. younger children get a 30 minute recess, unlike we do.

4. homework is abolished, none, nata, zip, zero. yeah, i'm sure students get optional worksheets to help them study, but everything is done in class. this gives both teachers and students alike a chance to spend more time on hobbies, sports, hang out with friends and family, etc.

5. you're probably wondering how students are graded. every teacher is trained to assess every individual student and create individualized tests. state testing is also abolished, not mandatory like us.

6. they focus on the human element, not numbers. every student is treated fairly. everyone is different.

statistics:
-the high school enrollment rate in Finland is 99.99% and their high school is VOLUNTARY. students have a choice.
-they scored among the top five countries and they beat us in reading, science, and math.
-1.1 million American students are dropping out of high school every year, and the numbers are steadily increasing.

oh, and off topic but college tuition in Finland for citizens is free.

F*** school

My opinion can be one of a few, but censorship is not always a bad thing. Sometimes it really makes this world a better place, reducing the quantity of hate speech. Another place that contributes to the world's wellbeing and students' success is this site https://sites.google.com...

There is nothing wrong with hate speech if you ask me. I think that the only restriction to free speech should be censoring the speech that makes people fear for their lives.
