There are many other science classes out there that are good, but AP Chem is just a joke. It's hard, confusing, and throws concepts at you at a pace that is very difficult to keep up with. It doesn't apply to real life, unless your future career is exclusively in the chemistry field, and the things you learn don't really help otherwise. The AP test is also hard, and brutal to some. If you did good in regular Chem, just skip this class because it's really not worth it. I'm pretty sure I crashed that test and my grade in that class...just don't. Spare yourseld the pain.

I took chem Gt and got a high A so I was expecting to come out of Chem AP with an A and a 5 but things didn't go as expected. My teacher overheard me talking about why extermination of certain groups of people is necessary and she is lazy. Combine that and you get an anti-national socialist bigoted teacher who hates me and is too lazy to teach. Right now my grade dropped to a C, but I don't care I'll get a B in the class anyways.

Uh yeah, maybe you shouldn't talk about national socialism in class. People don't appreciate neoNazis.

I know but everyone else can talk about their views, but sadly i'm the only one who will take consequence for expressing mine.

I didn't think it was bad. Because of AP chem, I do not have to take any sciences in college, so yes, you should definitely take the AP exam.
If you think chem was hard, just wait till AP physics haha.

If you did good in regular Chem, just skip this class because it's really not worth it. I'm pretty sure I crashed that test and my grade in that class...just don't. Spare yourseld the pain.

Thanks for the heads up. Ap calculus is starting to get annoying.

If you're in calc already then perhaps ap Chem won't be that bad for you. My subjective opinion may not apply in your case...but I needed to rant.

I took both AP tests and the AP chem was harder and the curve was weaker
