Heres something interesting I've found about the Spanish language.

Words ending in -TION in English end in -CIÓN in Spanish
invitation = invitación
nation = nación
conversation = conversación

Most words that end with -NCE in English end in -NCIA in Spanish
distance = distancia
coincidence = coincidencia
importance = importancia

Most words that end with -IC in English end in -ICO in Spanish
romantic = romántico
automatic = automático
fantastic = fantástico

Nouns that end with -OR in American English (or -OUR in British English) end in -OR in Spanish
doctor = doctor
actor = actor
color = color

Nouns and adjectives that end with -AL in English end in -AL in Spanish
animal = animal
legal = legal
natural = natural

Adjectives that end with -BLE in English end in -BLE in Spanish
probable = probable
honorable = honorable
visible = visible

Adjectives that end with -ARY in English end in -ARIO in Spanish
ordinary = ordinario
literary = literario
imaginary = imaginario

Lots and lots of them. After a while you can sort of wing it with words that you just know will work in Spanish. idea=idea

Pretty cool; but "doctor" isn't spelled "doctour" over there. Neither "doctor" nor "actor" are very good examples of this, for that reason.

"honour", though, would be; if it is "honor" in spanish.
