I don't care about whether an ideology is "necessary" or not,
I care about how to solve problems,
which is what everyone else should also care about.

That's because well... there are numbers everywhere.
The wise have eyes in their heads, while the fool walks in the darkness; but I came to realizethat the same fate overtakes them both.
Then I said to myself,
"The fate of the fool will overtake me also.
What then do I gain by being wise?"
I said to myself, "This too is meaningless."
For the wise, like the fool, will not be long remembered;
the days have already come when both have been forgotten.
Like the fool, the wise too must die!

lol, okay, though I'm not sure that the Nirvana fallacy is largely applicable in this instance.

The Nirvana fallacy is comparing one realistic solution with an unrealistic or impossible one. Comparing two realistic and possible ideas is not related or has anything to do with the Nirvana fallacy. Revival of the education forums is not an impossible notion. There are plenty of teachers on the site, so logically they can add some content. As well as this even people who aren't teachers can comment on the education system. They can also compare different education systems. There is no impossibility here. The Nirvana fallacy is thus not applicable [1][2].
