I've got a gig with the sax player from UB40 on Thursday. Just saying.

Summer songs you say.

Well for the obligitary Bob, it'll have to be the obvious Sun Is Shining.
Harry J All Stars - The Liquidator, organ led instrumental bliss, traditional soundtrack to UK summer sporting events.
Junior Murvyn - Police and Thieves, loads better than the Clash's cover, traditional soundtrack to UK summer riots, of which there's sure to be a few this year.
Fever, it's my name and it's a great summer song, I'd go with versions by Susan Cadogan and Junior Byles.
Horace Andy - Nice and Easy
Tenor Saw - Golden Hen
and Ring the Alarm, maybe the quick quick version with Buju Banton.
Barrington Levi - Here I Come
YT - Reality Song
, for 7/7.
Max Romeo - Chase the Devil
Damien Marley - Welcome to Jamrock
will still kill it for many summers to come.
I'll have to go with some hip hop ragga, NY meets JA style. Maybe Ghetto Red Hot by Supercat and Boomin In Ya Jeep by Screechy Dan
And some fresher UK stuff, 'Erbs Come Around by Collie Budz and that new Sundown thing by Top Cat.
Plus some dubstep, versions of Dawn Penn's No, No, No and Barrington and Beenie Man's Murderer spring to mind.
