What is the best song you've heard in a video game?

I like
- Simple and Clean (Kingdom Hearts)
- Baba Yetu (Civilization IV)
- Halo (Halo)

Apparently Simple and Clean was originally a Japanese hit called Hikari, but I can't find that recording on Youtube.

The Song of Time is pretty cool.
It is odd when one's capacity for compassion is measured not in what he is willing to do by his own time, effort, and property, but what he will force others to do with their own property instead.

I'm gonna go a little retro, because I don't play a lot of contemporary games. Not as much of a gamer as I used to be.

The whole soundtrack for Earthbound was pretty sweet. Battle music especially. Hard to pick a favorite.

Then the whole Megaman series had really good music. Hard to pick a favorite.

The Genesis Sonic games also had some good music. Little known fact about the music in Sonic 3, Michael Jackson actually did the soundtrack... Which judging by the comments section, probably isn't as little known as I thought. Still hard to pick a favorite.

Also, fvck you, Tetris Theme B.

I love all of the OST from the entire Halo series; it's been the one truly great and consistent part of the franchise from CE to Reach.

One of my favorites is 'Engaged' from the Reach campaign.
When Reach fell, I came.

WJ. You younger folks dont know nothin about video games.
Have you ever heard of Castlevania's SYMPHONY OF THE NIGHT.
Google it. It is said to have the greatest soundtrack ever, of all time, for
any type of video game ever made. Period. Noone else comes close.

Phantasy Star 3. You are with the lame duck crowd.
Castlevania Symphony Of The Night, smashes that to pieces.
Not to mention Lament Of Innocence Soundtrack.
You need to do some research fast.

The Metal Gear Solid series had an excellent sound. I can't think of any particular tracks off the top of my head, but I just remember thinking (particularly in Guns of the Patriots) "This is off the hook".
