The Dark Knight, which it is being made into a sequel.

Night at the Museum, which, for reasons I cannot even fathom, was made into equal.

Pro: Iron-Man - I hear it's in the works and is supposed to tie into an upcoming Avengers flick =D

Con: Spider-Man 3 - That one left a bad taste in my mouth and I can't imagine the supposed sequel being any better.

Undecided: Sex and the City - I'm a fan of the series but the movie was just terrible. I'm not sure if I'd prefer it dying there or giving the movie route another go. I guess the trailers will be the judge.

Spiderman 4. If they can get what makes Spiderman (e.g. him being constantly underpowered, yet always winning) then it will work.

Batman 3. With no Heath Ledger, it will be a tough one. Perhaps Robert Pattinson as a Joker wannabee (Because of the hair, and his shown ability to act evil) .

I was going to give my opinion of Fight Club in the OP, but I couldn't decide. Fight Club; sequel or no?

So much of Fight Club's appeal was in its atmosphere of confusion and frustration. I'm not sure that would transition well in a sequel.

Honestly I'm not a fan of sequels. It's sort of like movie makers just want more money so they out out another movie and another...and another, etc. Sometimes sequels are good.

Ex: legally blonde :)

But sometimes they're bad. Ex: Spiderman 3

yes. that one was good. honestly in spiderman 3 i was just annoyed by the "black spiderman" which doesn't exist. Venom is his own entity.

You rang?

Seriously, though, Spider-Man 3 was terrible. Hopefully the success of The Dark Knight will influence the style of the 4th installment.

It's currently a race between Marvel and DC. Currently, DC is riding on Batman alone (For the moment, though I wouldn't put new Superman or possibly Justice League coming out) , but Marvel has Spiderman, X-men,Iron Man, the Fantastic 4 and The Incredible Hulk. Spiderman 4 and Fantastic 4 no.3 will probably include this new Avengers storyline.

You know, I hadn't realized that. I know there were other DC movies in the works (e.g. Green Lantern), but they were scrapped early on. Looks like it's a quality v. quantity thing going on.

Honestly, the new Star Trek movie was crap. They should've made a REAL sequel. JJ Abrams is an abomination to Star Trek. His 'prequel' was terrible.
