So Guillermo del Toro is is directing a couple of new movies.

The first and more known of the two is called Pacific Rim. It's about how in the future giant monsters are destroying Earth so a group makes giant robots to fight them off. Its plot has also been compared to Evangelion's, which is rarely a bad thing. It stars Idris Elba, Charlie Day of It's Always Sunny, and a host of other wonderful actors. However, those two are the highlights because of their past works. Idris is one of my favorite actors because of parts in The Wire and Luther, and Charlie is the best part of It's Always Sunny.

Not much is known about the second except for the fact that it's an American interpretation of Godzilla that's to follow in the footsteps of the actual Godzilla films, unlike the tragedy that was the Matthew Broderick film.

Currently I'm looking forward to Pacific Rim more because of it's great cast, but not much is known about the Godzilla film, so it may end up being the superior film. del Toro is a wonderful director.

Apparently Guillermo del Toro isn't actually involved in the Godzilla film. That was just an early rumor.
