How the hell...

On a related note, this is disturbing:

I would NOT recommend playing this guy's other games, as they will freak your mind out.

Or lose the race to rats
Get caught in ticking traps
And start to dream of somewhere
To relax their restless flight
Somewhere out of a memory of lighted streets on quiet nights..."

The key is not moving your mouse lol

Yup. What a waste of time.

The purpose of the game isn't entertainment, its more of a satire of common flash games, and also a psychological experiment. This specific game is deliberately set up to be the opposite of what you usually expect. Most games require fast reflexes and a lot of clicking and mouse movements, but this one requires you to do absolutely nothing in order to win. So its kind of a psychological experiment in that it tests if you can be patient enough to wait through all the levels, and if you can resist moving the mouse to help the puppy, which goes against what you do in almost any other game

The site has a similar explanation here -

The whole site is full of seemingly pointless games, but they all have some sort of unique twist to them. For instance, Stacked Odds is Tetris, except the game is designed to always deny you the piece you need the most. Lol.
