I'm on my phone so I can't elaborate too fully but having seen both films I have to say... Hunger Games takes the idea of Battle Royale and makes it exponentially better.

I would be completely confident to debate this.

Who here has read Battle Royal? I loved the Hunger Games, but seriously.

BR is so much more gritty and unpredictable. With the hunger games every knows Katnis is going to win. Battle Royal you have no clue what's going on.

I preferred reading BR to HG too.

I agree with Koop's reason.

But, personally, I liked BR better because it really explored the social and psychological aspects of that kind of situation MUCH MUCH MUCH better.
