Post movies you've watched recently and rate them (Out of 10 or 5 or whoever you want).

King of Devils Island 10/10

This movie was superb! It's foreign so you'll have to watch it in sub-titles unless you speak Norwegian, but I highly recommend it. It's the best movie I've seen in a while. The acting was mostly outstanding especially considering most of the actors were boys. The dialogue and everything about it was realistic without any mistakes or things that made me annoyed whatsoever. The soundtrack was also outstanding. It was pretty sad. But that's one reason I loved it.

The Hobbit 7/10

I posted another thread about it. Look there if you want. It was quite good but not one I'll always remember.

Expendables 2
4.5/10 - Mindless, cheesy, and entirely dependent on deus ex machina cameos in order to advance the plot.

The Hobbit Part 1 - 8.5/10

Sorta dragged on, and I felt like it was a little too much fan service, but overall I liked it.

The Usual Suspects- 9/10. Superb movie. The only flaw I could find was questioning why the hell we should care about anything Spacey said since the entire story turned out to just be made up anyways.

The last movie that I sat down and properly watched was Skyfall. 9/10.

The main villain was amazing. Also, it had a bit of fanservice that made me happy.

I give it 9 out of 10 Yahtzee Croshaw's.

Machine Gun Preacher 6/10

This movie showed that Gerard Butler can actually act, which was a shocking realization. The movie is a biopic about Sam Childers, an ex-convict turned missionary who attempts to save children from the LRA in Sudan and Uganda. Worth a look.

Duplex - 8/10. Dark comedy, witty scenes, and I like the simple setting. It's about a couple moving to a duplex apartment in Brooklyn, and they happen to be necessitated to share it with an old resident. She happens to be utterly annoying, but very cute.

The last movie I saw was Prometheus (I think). I'd give it a 7. Great visuals, good story, but the parts that were supposed to be suspenseful came off instead as weird.

The ending sorta sucked.

The last 2 remotely recent movies I've seen were Silver Linings Playbook and This is 40. SLP was a predictable but cute and amusing dark romantic comedy with a decent cast. This is 40 is a typical Judd Appatow movie. If you like his stuff, you'll like this :)

Bulworth. Wow, just wow.

I'm going to give it a generous 8/10. Warren Beatty is a terrible rapper, looks sh!tty in gangsta clothes, and has zero chemistry with Halle Berry, who looks black-hot in this movie.

I also noticed after his little tit-tat with the entertainment industry in the movie, he never really got another chance to make another movie. LOL

I am going to count this as a movie, since it was shot in 35mm film, and was just recently released on DVD and Blu-Ray

Hungarian Rhapsody: Queen Live in Budapest- 11.75/10

This was more than just your standard concert film. This was more than the concert. It was the film of most of the concert(some of the concert went missing), and the stories of the 4 members of Queen's adventures out and about Budapest. It showed Freddie Mercury making jokes, drinking alcohol, and visiting art museums, Brian May flying around in a hot air balloon, Roger Taylor whipping everybody in Go-Cart racing, and John Deacon.... Being John Deacon(walking backwards, walking, and talking with a little girl.). The concert itself was excellent, just like other Queen concerts, though this one was one of the best, in my opinion. Tie Your Mother Down was exceptionally good, as well as Bohemian Rhapsody and We are the Champions(second-best of the tour in my opinion, behind the 2nd Wembley Stadium concert). This DVD/Blu-Ray disk is worth way more than the $15-$20 price(The special edition with an extra 2 CDs of the entire concert in audio with the missing songs costs $35), and is a great steal.
