So my girlfriend made me a mixed CD of new music for me to listen to such as The Beatles, Mumford & Sons, Oasis and a few country singers. I knew that she likes mostly British artists with a few exceptions. Now the band that popped out at me the most are Mumford & Sons that are an English folk rock band. She put two of their songs on the CD called "Little Lion Man" and "The Cove". They have a great sound and feel to their music that is appealing to me, I am definitely going to get more of their music. Are their any new or even old bands and artists that have caught your eye recently? What do you like about them?

Yes they sound really good, I do believe that they are gaining popularity in the U.S, I actually like folk rock better then regular rock.

I should hope they are gaining in popularity, they were nominated for a Grammy two years ago, and I believe they performed last year. (The facts are right, maybe not the dates)

They played one of the lesser stages at a music festival a few years back (2009?), then the next year, when they came to Minneapolis, they had three sold out shows.

FYI, the song is called "The Cave", not cove.

If you like folky stuff like this, you might like Trampled by Turtles, too.
Personally, I am rediscovering Billy Joel right now. Prelude/Angry young man is one of my favorites of his that I only just learned about a few weeks back.
My work here is, finally, done.
