The Birds. No other horror movie (or movie in general, really) can hold up, i think of that movie every time i see a large amount of birds in the same general area and will likely continue to do so for the rest of my life. I love that about it, it's such a simple premise but it sticks with you.

The Birds was quite honestly shat. If you're looking for something Hitchcock, Strangers on a Train and Rear Window were miles ahead. That being said my favorite movie is among the aforementioned, Pulp Fiction, and Catch-22.

To be honest, that film was laughable. I can see why many people would like it considering you never really see a film involving murderous birds but it didn't age that well.

I would have to say that my favourite film would either be Equilibrium or Wreck-It Ralph. One is an adorable video-game family animation while the other one is fascinating study of a dystopia where you are not allowed to feel. I find there is much more to both of them than is on the surface. Plus, Wreck-It Ralph is so adorable and has a beautiful story, and Equilibrium, the thing that stands out the most for me in this film is the brilliant acting - especially by Christian Bale who can convey emotions so heart-achingly well.

Though the book is much better, it is still my favorite film of all time. The first time I saw it, I watched it, then watched it again, then watched it again, with no break in between the showings. It's just a really moving film.

Most people hate me for this, but I've never liked the godfather. I never even made it the full way through the first one.

Contact was terrible, you never got to see the alien!
Aliens is, without a doubt, the best film ever made.

As far as science fiction goes, anyways.

I mean, Reservoir Dogs and Dear Hunter are right up there on the same tier as Aliens.

I consider that movie a guilty pleasure, but I do love it.

My faves, in no particular order (except #1) are:

Citizen Kane
The Desk Set
Full Metal Jacket
The Empire Strikes Back
Never Been Kissed (I punch myself regularly for liking this movie, but I can't help it)
The Breakfast Club
Total Recall (both)
Mr. Mom
Weird Science
Enter The Dragon
Batman Returns
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn
Casablanca
The Godfather II
How To Marry A Millionaire

And, at #1, the greatest movie ever conceived or created...

(see videos...)

(no, seriously, watch 'em...)

(really, you don't want to miss these...)

The "Weird" Al Yankovic opus known simply as...

(drum roll, please...)

Oh yeah...I like Erol Morris documentaries a lot, and that John Carter flick that came out recently and starred the kid from Friday Night Lights wasn't half bad, either.

Ooh...and 9, The ORIGINAL, animated Lord of the Rings, Wizards, and Transformers: The Movie (animated...from the 80s, with Orson Wells as Unicron)

Also, The Avengers had about the best pacing of any movie I've ever seen.

My favorite movie is Scarface. Pacino was a master and the movie has soooo many great quotes.

I also like Godfather trilogy, Casino, Goodfellas, Last Don I & II, Donnie Brasco and movies that fit under this genre.

I also like war movies IE Saving Private Ryan, We Were Soldiers, Hurt Locker etc.

Hard to say. A few could make the list. Inception, Lord of the Rings, King of Devil's Island and Pans Labyrinth...

Epsilon: There are so many stories where some brave hero decides to give their life to save the day, and because of their sacrifice, the good guys win, the survivors all cheer, and everybody lives happily ever after. But the hero... never gets to see that ending. They'll never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference. They'll never know if the day was really saved. In the end, they just have to have faith.
