Twin Peaks is the best show I've ever seen.

Or lose the race to rats
Get caught in ticking traps
And start to dream of somewhere
To relax their restless flight
Somewhere out of a memory of lighted streets on quiet nights..."

Oh, I could go back to Lost all right. Anyone think Desmond down in that room was an analogy for chronic masturbation and how it f*cks you up?

Seen both; wasn't particularly favourable to either :P

Though because I've pretty much lived both those Tv shows maybe and didn't come out the better for it. Or I could be better off now anyway.

You are actually trying to control drugs and violence in watching such shows, believe it or not. You're trying to convince yourself that they're okay, but believe me, you don't think they are.

It's like why people smoke: as if to say they actually want to die in the end anyway. It's all about control.

Yes.

I know I usually need about 108 minutes between sessions.

Those shows are incredible.

I'll add Boardwalk Empire to that list.

The Wire is right under Doctor Who.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer is (my opinion) slightly better than Doctor Who.

I think a couple come close, like Dexter, Boardwalk Empire, and House of Cards.
Think'st thou heaven is such a glorious thing?
I tell thee, 'tis not half so fair as thou
Or any man that breathes on earth.
