This thread is for geeks to talk about geeky things. This includes anything that one might expect as an interest of a geek, like comic books, star treak, star wars, etc.
I will post our first topic in this description and everyone who posts will post about the topic, and we will all have a friendly discussion. After a while of the posting, I will say it is time for a new topic. A person (secretly elected by me) will choose the next geeky topic and they will post what it is and the discussion about the new topic will start.
This process will go on and on.

Our first topic is comic books.

Anyone read Knightfall? Excellent series. I've read Volume 1 completely through and I'm currently reading Volume 2.

Yeah that's what happened after Cable & Deadpool. Daniel Way is a hack and it's sad that his version of Deadpool is the most popular while Joe Kelly, Gail Simone, Fabian Nicieza and Rick Remender wrote the character so much better.

Yeah this new Deadpool annoys the freakin crap outta me. It's always "chimichanga this" and "boobies that" with him.

That's basically why actual fans of Deadpool have been disappointed lately. He hasn't been a good character in his own book for 6 or 7 years. He's good in Uncanny X-Force though. Rick Remender is one of the best comic writers alive today.

I like deadpool period. in ever fvcking instance. I don't care what you think I still think he's awesome.

a character that I am mad about is iron man. before the movie he wasn't as horrible as he is now. sure his gear is still awesome but his personality is out of whack
Epsilon: There are so many stories where some brave hero decides to give their life to save the day, and because of their sacrifice, the good guys win, the survivors all cheer, and everybody lives happily ever after. But the hero... never gets to see that ending. They'll never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference. They'll never know if the day was really saved. In the end, they just have to have faith.

beyblade would be classified as manga because of its Japanese origin

Btw these are the runners-up for my elected official of the next topic:

leojm
Andromeda_Z
Korashk
cybertron1998
immortalphoenix

The person who is elected will have to post many times, behave well, and be able to have a rather pleasant and agrreable conversation with me and the others.
