Why does HBO sometimes skip

the feature presentation intro when showing a movie (not an HBO one, but a commercial-made film; HBO movies have their own intro)

Now this isn't the one today, but in the past, especially when that creepy narrarator would be on (1994 - 2006), they would either (1) show the copyright warning of HBO which they show occasionally right before the next time slot of HBO, or (2) they would have HBO next, like showing was going to be shown next on HBO, and then show the rating (if it was an R-rated movie I would be frightened). But why

It is completely up to the producers of each show to decide what they put on it, based upon the license agreements from the copyright owners of the content and from the sponsors.
