I'm making a game based on American history, heroes vs. villains style. I need you guys to help me think of some heroes and some villains for the game. The rule I have is no political emotion-fueled suggestions such as "George W. Bush is a villain" or "I pick Obama for villain".

Your suggestions must be legit, reasonable, actual heroes and legit, reasonable, actual villains.

Example: Martin Luther King, Jr. would be a hero.
Example: John Wilkes Booth would be a villain.

Second Example: Paul Revere would be a hero.
Second Example: Ted Bundy would be a villain.

Joe McCarthy would be a villain.

What defines McCarthy as a villain? All I see is he was a senator.

Remember, the rule is no emotion-based political suggestions.

Joseph Stalin wasn't an American.

The witch hunt of average American citizens or foreigners, suspecting them as communists based on very fringe evidence.
