Why do some VHSs have this noise?

Now they won't have hissing, but some have the sound like it was made in some containment room? If I could pronounce the sound it's like a long "ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

hmmm... What's VHS? I watch media on a blu ray player..

Try cleaning the heads on the player using a head cleaning "tape." It's the only thing I can think of that would cause a common problem. I do know that sometimes head cleaning works wonders.
