Media Influence on Young Minds

It is too often that we hear about angry parents complaining that the media is brainwashing their children with it's provocative images. Whenever something bad happens, we always blame the media. Why is it that we don't blame the parents for their children's discrepancies? Is it always the media's fault?

Why don't we blame the child?

But, parents always blame others. Media. Friends. School.

To be fair, one can make the argument that media desensitizes youth.
