I don't normally watch television, but when I do it's usually for background noise. Lately though, I've watched several fantastic anime shows that have ended up capturing my full attention. I wanted to share them to see if anyone else has seen them or would like to chat about the them.

1) Attack on Titan
2) Full Metal Alchemy: Brotherhood
3) Sword Art Online
4) Ouran High-school Host Club

I saw this, and loved it. What a neat concept.

4) Ouran High-school Host Club

I've heard about AoT and Ouran, what are they about?

Ouran is a hilarious show about a group of wealthy boys who attend an elite high school and run a 'Host' club. The host club entertains the girls of the school by throwing dances and ultimately wooing them constantly. It's got fantastic animation that leaves one in stitches laughing. You can either watch it in Japanese or dubbed English (you'll definitely recognize one of the characters voices if you are familiar with full metal alchemist). The range of characters and their backstories which are revealed throughout episodes are excellent and hilarious as well.

Attach on Titan is a way more intense show. Recently released on Netflix, it's one of the most intense I've seen in a long time and totally groundbreaking in it's approach. The main theme is a brother and sister fighting together after witnessing their mother killed by some giant human monsters... the show has several twists that are all equally mind-blowing and is currently one of the most celebrated new anime shows out there. The episode structure is really cool because half-way through it will share some vital information of the tech that is introduced in the show and ultimately is my favorite show out of all four that I've listed. There were several fight scenes that had me yelling like a madman for excitement, anguish, and awesomeness.

Right?! I couldn't believe it was rated TV-PG though... like especially towards the end of the show lol. My roommate is running through it now and said the same thing earlier today when we were chatting about it. I kinda wish they had included more boss fights in the first half of the show but the whole concept was just fascinating for me. I remember watching the first episode and being like... why couldn't that have happened for me when I was playing Skyrim haha.

Haha, yes. It really drove into me how much death saturates life with vigor. Any online world is just a shadow of the real one, and it was the introduction of the finality of death which finally managed to bring that one to life.

Yeah that is definitely my favorite out of all the ones I listed. I'll definitely pick up the manga when I have the time over the summer... I'm pissed there isn't going to be a season 2 for a while.

The fight between Eren and the female titan in the city was pretty sick. Eren was so ruthless.

Anyway, in actual discussion of the OP... >.>

Seen all but Ouran. FMA:B was what got me hooked on anime. SAO, despite my friend telling me it was awful, was really really cool (although I do have my problems with certain aspects of how they played it out).

Attack on Titan? Bada**. 'Nuff said.

Haha, good summations. I agree with them all lol. Considering you enjoyed them, I can almost say with surety that you'd enjoy Ouran. It's definitely geared more towards comedy than anything else and I found it freaking hilarious. It's on Netflix if you have it.

Crunchyroll or animefreak. If you can't find it on one of those two sites it's not on the internet.

Space Dandy guys. Check it out.

Can I find it on Netflix, or will I have to bust out my internet streaming websites? I don't do cable TV at my house.

Crunchyroll or animefreak. If you can't find it on one of those two sites it's not on the internet.

space dandy is on adultswim starting 1130 on saturday nights

That requires me to be on adultswim at 110:30 on saturday nights. F*ck that.

record it on your dvr you lazy dumb@ss

You act like I have one.

if you don't have a dvr yet you have a computer and internet that will let you watch a lot of anime then you disappoint me

Epsilon: There are so many stories where some brave hero decides to give their life to save the day, and because of their sacrifice, the good guys win, the survivors all cheer, and everybody lives happily ever after. But the hero... never gets to see that ending. They'll never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference. They'll never know if the day was really saved. In the end, they just have to have faith.
