For a long time i have thought that the movie industry is missing out on a lot of very good books that would make great movies; far better than most that are being made now.

I am currently re-reading Oliver Wiswell written in the 40's by Kenneth Roberts. It's historic drama during the revolutionary war taken from the perspective of a loyalist. Great book and would be an excellent movie.

Other books that would make good movies?

All quite on the Western Front.

It's a classic. I think they have made a movie but that movie is banned here.

They made that movie lol. I watched it in History class. Guy dies at the end. Dramatically.

And it would easily be transfered over to film, the whole book is basically sectioned like a movie.

You make it into a movie Dark, then when it's a hit, you become famous and buy DDO and in turn DURSTS HILL. Can I be a lead actor??

I've actually considered making it into a movie for drama class in school. However i would need a budget to do that... which i don't have lol.

Sounds interesting! For some reason fiction novels have been boring me to tears lately (with the exception of Dan Brown... hehe I admit it...) but I think that sounds like it would be a really good movie.

I'd go see Digital Fortress and Deception Point in a heartbeat if they came out on film. I hope they leave Tom Hanks out of them though.
