Why, I was thinking, are there so many television shows in America that document real life violent crime (MOSTLY stories from America, and very rarely stories from other English speaking countries?)

There is a whole television station in America, "Investigation Discovery" purposed to documenting MOSTLY American real life stories of homicide, kidnap, stalking, sexual assault, domestic violence, disappearances, etc. There's shows on American television like "Snapped," "Dateline NBC," "48 Hours Mystery," "Forensic Files," "The First 48," etc. all about "true crime" MOSTLY in America.

If you are not an American, is your country violent enough to have a 24 hour TV channel that documents real life stories about homicide, kidnap, stalking, sexual assault, domestic violence, disappearances, etc. in your country?
"La, la, la. Whatever. La, la, la. It doesn't matter. La, la, la. Oh well. La, la, la..."
