Howdy y'all? Darn tootin! Gaddam sonovabitch! Yee-hah! Woo-hoo!

Are you impressed by my Southern American accent? No? Oh well, I tried. Anyway - I'll be honest: I don't really like C&W music as a rule but I heard a song at a Karaoke party this afternoon that reminded me that it's not all dross:

Do you like C&W?

I can't stand most country. There's a couple singers I like though such as Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Shania Twain, and Toby Keith.

Coming from Seattle you probably prefer goth / rock / grunge, etc. Me too actually, but I'm open to all genres of music - so long as it's good.

The genres I have tried listening to and cannot stand are C&W, Jazz and Pop... Anything else (even classical and opera) I can definteley respect and enjoy. I'll take grunge, rock and goth over them any day!! But my favorite is Metal! Lol :D

Eagles? Nah, they're classic rock. The closest thing to country I like is Lynrd Skynrd lol. And I do like a few Garth Brook songs... that's about it. Maybe a Dixie Chick song here or there, but probably not. Country music is pretty much disgusting and intolerable.

Interesting note though -- Considering the whole Texas textbook controversy, one of the retarded things they wanted to do was include country western music as a cultural icon of the United States. LOL. Gross. I dunno why they assume the rest of the country are bumpkins just cuz they are :|

I love it. Country gets a bad rap; these women really have range. Taylor Swift has like no range so I don't get why she's popular...

Playing Jazz music well is hard as hell. Most people who try are honestly pretty bad at it. When you put a lot of those people in a band together, I assure you that what you hear is not good music.

As far as non-pro groups go you should listen to some Texas based groups like the UNT 1 o'clock Lab Band or some stuff from TCU. Down here Jazz is a big part of music education especially in High School.

I just about quit listening to new country when Keith Urban beat Goerge Strait in the CMA's. But I think its coming back though. I love country music, it is like a bio of my life. Like this song.
In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti. Amen
