One of my favorite TV shows right now.

My mentor watches it and swears by it. I haven't seen it. This is a weird way to put it but it seems a little too...dramatic, for me. At least as far as politics goes. I like The West Wing, which was pretty realistic in my opinion.

I saw a couple episodes of that, seemed kinda lame. House of cards is really good. really good directing

I watched up to mid season 2 a while ago, but stopped because I lost internet. Haven't picked up again.

The show lacks likable characters. I mean, every single character is wholly unlikable for different reasons, but I suppose that's sort of the point. Everybody is awful, and the most machiavellian always wins.

Having said that, I really like the show, and I like the "modern Shakespearean" angle they play it off as. Season 3 was a big let-down from season two, because the season essentially ended zero-sum with Underwood neither gaining or losing much political ground, but this latest season made me excited to see where the series goes, again.
If you're reading this, you're awesome and you should feel awesome.

I agree with this. I also think the acting is brilliant even if the writing is dramatic (and it sure is).
