HOW TO PUT TOGETHER YOUR TAPE

* Your mixtape should be ten tracks long and consist of five tracks on each side.
* Side ‘A' should represent the positive, happy bits.
* Side ‘B' should represent the not so happy bits, but end on a good note.
* Songs can be by any artist.
* Pick your songs carefully. This is your introduction, after all!
* You can choose whether or not to explain your song choices.
* When you are finished, make a new post with your name, tracklist, and a download. (Those of you on LJ, remember to be kind to your watchers and use a cut.)

TRACK ORDER

SIDE 'A'

* Track one: a song that you think represents your life/view on life at present.
* Track two: a song that makes you think of your favorite person at present.
* Track three: a song that represents your love life at present.
* Track four: a song that always cheers you up.
* Track five: a song that you will always associate with a good memory.

SIDE 'B'

* Track one: a song that makes you think of your least favorite person, past or present.
* Track two: a song that represents your love life in the past 1-5 years.
* Track three: a song you love, but can't listen to without feeling sad.
* Track four: a song that you will always associate with a negative memory.
* Track five: a song that inspires you to power through the bad and make the most of life.

Side A

Track 1: Song you think represents your life/views on life at present.

Radiohead- Optimistic

You can try the best you can

If you try the best you can

The best you can is good enough

Track 2: Song that makes you think of your favorite person at present.

Coldplay- Postcards From Far Away

Track 3: Song that represents your love life at present.

No Doubt- Don't Speak

It looks as though you're letting go

And if it's real

Well I don't want to know

Track 4: Song that always cheers you up.

The Flaming Lips- Vein of Stars

Who knows?

Maybe there isn't a vein of stars calling out my name

No glow from above our heads

Nothing there to see you down on your knees

...

And if there ain't no heaven, maybe there ain't no hell

Track 5: Song that you will always associate with a good memory.

Coldplay- Daylight

Slowly breaking through the daylight

Side B

Track 1: Song that makes you think of your least favorite person, past or present.

Opeth- Burden

There's an ocean of sorrow in you

A sorrow in me

Track 2: Song that represents your love life in the past 1-5 years

Bat for Lashes- Let's Get Lost

Let me come closer, I'm not your shadow

Track 3: Song you love, but can't listen to without feeling sad.

City and Colour- Day Old Hate

So lets face it, this was never what you wanted

But I know that its fun to pretend

Our blank stares and empty threats

Are all I have

They're all I have

Track 4: Song that you will always associate with a negative memory.

The Used- Lunacy Fringe

I'm so far gone now

Do you wanna take me on?

Track 5: Song that inspires you to power through the bad and make the most of life.

Peter Bjorn & John- Nothing To Worry About

negative

why always so negative?

if you have problems,

why don't you go solve them?

Your mixtapes don't have to be so detailed. An artist and song title will suffice.

Interesting choices. I like that "Technologic" represents your life XD and I almost chose that Alanis Morissette song as well.

Yeah. Cloud Cult got a lot of clout after Lucky Today was used on an Esurance commercial at least here in the states. I knew them before that though, its just a really friggin' upbeat song.

The hardest thing for a new singer to do is to find their own voice. You might think that this would be easy, but many singers have a hard time singing with their own voice. Instead, they imitate their favorite singers. This will not allow you to reach your full potential. You have to take some time and allow yourself to sing naturally. This may take a couple hours, days, or weeks. Eventually though, you will be able to let your true voice shine through.

Here's a video to help you sing better: https://www.youtube.com...
