Okay, I really don't understand the taboo around C/Ping your role PM. It's essentially the same as claiming, isn't it? Can someone please explain to me why this is so bad?

I thought about it and the only reason I could think of was that it would make you confirmed. But someone could easily make up a role PM and that would achieve the same goal.

But there is a difference between your two examples:

One confirms you just through the simple mechanism of cutting and pasting whereas the other confirms you depending on your ability to write a convincing role pm. One requires no skill whereas the other does.

Not to me. The mafia games I make up I can just invent one out of the top of my head. Thats what I did to a few mafia members in my naruto game. It was hilariously easy. xD

Is that not the same with a fake claim? You must research the claim and make a role that fits. Either way, as mafia, you have to do alot more work.

There is also the issue of mimicing the mod's writing style. By cutting and pasting it's easy to see, immediately, what is fake and not. If you force everyone to paraphrase, you eliminate that.

Should someone be punished because they can't copy someone's writing style?

Not trying to be harsh, but your role PMs were shockingly bad.

Okay well I can see why it is justified in some games. However I would like to implement a structure in my game where every ones role decriptions are different, so cutting and pasting wouldn't matter
