And start to dream of somewhere

To the works of your mafia buddies before the end of the first DP. @Medic.
Rules of Mafia

1. Mestari is never third party.
2. If Mestari claims an intricate and page long TP role, he's telling the truth.
3. Mestari always jointly wins with the town.
3b. If he doesn't he's mafia.
3c. If he was mafia you wouldn't suspect him in the first place.
4. If you lynch Mestari you will lose because he will be the third party Doctor or some other townie power role.
5. DP1 lynches are good.
6. The answer is always no.

physical pain receptors dull after a few hours and you can't easily maintain the same level of physical pain without fatal trauma.

That being said, insanity only gets stronger with time, so how about chinese water drip with an IV?

I meant chinese water torture with an IV to keep you alive until you die from insanity induced trauma.

Put on a conveyor belt and given a drug so that you can't move. The belt slowly carries you toward large grinders which will, starting from the feet, slowly chop and grind you up until you die.

Nano-robots that target brain receptors in a precise way to cause not only the pinnacle of sustainable pain and not only the pinnacle of sustainable emotional severity but also manifest new mechanisms of conscious negativity through radical adjustments in perception consciousness, plunging the individual into a reality completely unknown to them and creating an unimaginably expansive trauma-soaked delirium.

You should have added that in that world, 1 second in the real world is like 100 years there.

This is good, but I think being eaten by your zombie children would be pretty bad too.

watch saw.

The worst way to die differs for each person, but the most painful way to die is dissolving in an alkali vat. That's a known fact. Alkali stimulates the nervous system.

The worst way to die would be probably to be stabbed repeatedly by 5 bayonets and then attacked by a head crab but left to the point that you're still conscious and then, last but not least, be ripped in half by two crow bars
Epsilon: There are so many stories where some brave hero decides to give their life to save the day, and because of their sacrifice, the good guys win, the survivors all cheer, and everybody lives happily ever after. But the hero... never gets to see that ending. They'll never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference. They'll never know if the day was really saved. In the end, they just have to have faith.

How about Roman crucifixion, which occured after being flogged by a cat o' nine tails with sharpened pieces of bone, then being forced to carry your crossbeam to the execution site (on top of Golgotha, a skull shaped hill), and then being nailed to the cross.
