DP3

Patrick saw a tall man breaking into the lawyer's office. The man opened the top drawer, where the will should be, and saw a sealed manila envelope with his father's name on it. Heart beating fast, he ripped open the envelope. But he didn't see his father's will. Instead, he found a note scrawled in Jane's handwriting: "Gotcha!" The man didn't even have time to dwell on his shock, as CBI agents poured through the door, pointing guns at him and demanding he lie flat on the ground. He had no choice but to comply.

Man: "How did you know it was me?"

Patrick: "Something about your behavior was off the entire time. Most people would be sad at their father's passing or depressed, yet you displayed anger. You were rapidly pacing when we delivered you the news that your father had died on the operating table. You were too anxious. Most people would be more subdued, fearing the worst. Yet you seemed to be hoping that he would die. Your mouth was saying one thing, but your body was saying another. It all comes down to behavior. That – and an older man marries a much younger woman. It's almost cliché that it would be the son who kills the father to prevent him from changing his will."

Man: "It couldn't have been that obvious."

Patrick: "Well, when we told you that we had found a new will, already drafted, and that we were returning it to the lawyer's office so he could execute it, you didn't simply behave as if you were shocked, but you seemed livid. You jetted out of here so fast that you scraped Rigsby's car on your way out. Behavior never lies."

Patrick: "Take him away, Van Pelt."

Patrick walked into the CBI kitchen and draped his arm around his favorite supervisor: "Ahh, Lisbon, there you are. I told you it would all work itself out in the end."

Lisbon: "Yes, Patrick, well done."

"Well, this calls for a celebration," said Patrick, as he pulled out a bottle of champagne.

A few hours elapse with the CBI engaged in joyous festivities.

Rigsby: "Patrick, I found this strange poem in your desk."

Patrick: "Oh, it's nothing. Don't worry about it."

Rigsby adopted the mannerisms of a high-court jester and began reading the poem aloud.

"When the stars threw down their spears,
And water'd heaven with their tears,
Did He smile His work to see?
Did He who made the lamb make thee?

Tiger, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?"

Lisbon: "I didn't know you liked James Joyce."

Patrick: "I don't. That's William Blake."

Lisbon: "Why do you keep it in your desk?"

Patrick: "A friend gave it to me."

Cho: "I don't understand, who made the lamb?"

Patrick: "It's a clever double entendre. The poem – on face – is referring to God, who created both the rain and the lamb. But more subtly, Blake is referring to himself. This poem is called The Tiger, but he also wrote a poem called The Lamb. The ‘fearful symmetry' thus refers both to the tiger's dangerous and fearful yellow eyes but also to the symmetry between the two poems. The Lamb is written to be a loving ode to a peaceful creature, with a very upbeat tone, whereas The Tiger is a much darker poem. Yet one cannot exist without the other – both literally and figuratively. The Tiger preys upon the lamb, but cannot exist without its counterpart in a figurative sense as well. For what is joy without its antecedent?"

Rigsby feigned snoring sounds.

Rigsby: "You sound like a professor when you drink. Personally, I prefer Edgar Allan Poe."

Rigsby began to loudly recite from memory:

"And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand--
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep--while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?"

Patrick interrupted, "Everyone says they like Poe. How unoriginal. You're just trying to impress Van Pelt."

Rigsby reddened, as if trying to match the shade of Van Pelt's hair.

Lisbon: "Okay, that's enough you two. Time to head home."

Patrick crept up to the attic and dozed off.

Mestari - Karen Kross – Reporter. You are a pretty annoying upstart reporter, determined to get her story. You can thus publish whatever you like in the OP. Submit some text before the end of the NP and I'll "publish" it in the OP. If you fail to submit it on time, you miss your deadline and forfeit your turn. A good reporter needs to stay on top of her game. In addition, your editor finds you annoying, so you are limited to 200 characters (with spaces). You win with the town. (lynched DP2)

VTL USM for same reason as last DP. I note it was much easier getting votes to lynch Mestari (innocent) than it was to even get a claim from USM.

I win with the town. Also, you're wasting your time. Both will turn up true :P

You could have just asked too :P

Anyway VTL USM for claim.

Is it me or does the OP indicate success even though Mestari flipped inno...?

Nope, else I'm fairly certain that Apollo wouldbe included it in hos drafterlist. A slip perhaps?

I RBd drafter NP1 because if he was town he would be unaffected. If mafia, cool beans. I RBd USM for the same reason I'm pressuring him.

I am going to full claim now and paraphrase my role pm.

On DP2 I said that even if mestari is lynched innocent, some good will come out of it. this holds true.

"I am Kristina Frye a Psychic and Jane's lover. On NP2, I will be told how many mafiosos were in on the DP2 lynch vote. I win with the town."

Mestari – 8/8 – TUF, budda, medic, caveat, Ifly, FT, HCP, mestari

Only ONE of these players is a mafioso apparently. So if we can find out who it is, we can potentially confirm 5 players.

@TUF:

Due to Horror, I am now ridiculously wary of Sensor claims loool.

I realize now how strong they are, however, 1x Sensor with the condition of only being used on DP2's lynch along with your dialogue with Mestari makes me lean towards you telling the truth.

There were 17 players. That means likely 4 mafia. All 4 are still alive

1. Lickdafoot - confirmed town
2. Blackvoid
3. Logic
4. MIG - confirmed town
5. Medic
6. Fourtrouble - semi-confirmed by claim
7. Caveat
8. TUF
9. Zaradi
10. Budda
11. USM
12. Ifly
13. apollo.11- confirmed by claim
14. HCP

Of the people who VTL'ed mestari, supposedly, only 1 is scum.
TUF, budda, medic, caveat, Ifly, FT, HCP
Let's just ignore that person for now and go after the other 3. I'll assume all are inno for now.

So, by TUF's results, of the following people, 3 are likely scum:
2. Blackvoid
3. Logic
9. Zaradi
11. USM

Unless I'm missing something obvious.
