Winner: Jordan the Survivor

Loser: Town & Mafia(what scrubsss... Jk :P)

Roles

Third Party

Jordan: "You know what I love about you, Gaius? You're a survivor"

"Caprica Six: You're not on their side Gaius.
Gaius: I am not, on anybodies side."

As Gaius Baltar you are a man who truly does love himself. Pompous, arrogant, and selfish, you care only for yourself and your own survival. Which means all you need to do is survive until the end of tha game, and you win.

Indeed, it seems that divine providence has made it so you somehow always squirrel yourself out of scenarios in which death seems certain. So a little divine providence will be bestowed to you here as well:

- You may investigate one player every three phases(starting NP2 and determine whether or not they are Cylon.
- You may overturn your own lynch once, but only if you decide to the previous night. You cannot choose to overturn your lynch the same phase it is occuring. In other words, you gotta guess when its comin beforehand if it does.

Town

The Antidoter: Dr. Cottle: The jaw is set nicely. You're done here. I'm kicking you outta here and sending you back to work.
Crewman Specialist Cally: Work? Like this?
Dr. Cottle: You gotta love a woman who can complain even with her jaw wired shut.

Cally Henderson: Wife of chief Galen Tyrol, you mainly serve a supporting role throughout the show, and thus do not have an ability to use. You win with the town

Lordknukle: Doctor Cottle: You are obviously an intelligent, well-educated young woman. Would you mind explaining to me why you waited five years in between breast exams?
President Laura Roslin: Yes, I would mind. It's none of your business. I was busy.
Doctor Cottle: [lighting a cigarette] And now here you are.
President Laura Roslin: Yes, here we are. Would you mind?
[indicating her displeasure at his smoking]
Doctor Cottle: I do, actually.
[continues smoking]

Doctor Sherman Cottle: As the chief medical officer aboard the galactica, once per night you may protect another person and prevent them from dying to any potential lethal abilities. You win with the town

Johnnyboy: Admiral Helena Cain: ...Is this what the two of you have been doing for the past six months? Debating the finer points of Colonial law? Well, guess what, we're at *war*! And we don't have the luxury of academic debate over these issues.

Helena Cain: You are a gods awful woman who honestly makes me want to grab a pencil and shove it through your eye. So you show up guilty to investigations. Tough cookies, thats the way it is when you are a total b!tch. You win with the town.

Daytonanerd: Adama: You"ve lost your way, Sergeant. You"ve lost sight of the purpose of the law: to protect its citizens, not persecute them. Whatever we are, whatever"s left of us " we"re better than that. Now these proceedings are closed. You"ll be transported back to your ships and we appreciate your help.
Board Chair: This is an independent board. You have no power to close our inquiries.
Adama: This is a witch-hunt. I will not have it aboard my ship.

Sergeant Hadrian: As the person in charge of the independent board of inquiry to investigate the bombing of the water tanks aboard galactica, you are able to investigate and determine the affiliation of one player per night. You win with the town. (Paranoid cop)

Chicken: "President Laura Roslin: Put him out the air lock.
Lt. Kara 'Starbuck' Thrace: What? You can't do that, not after he told you the truth.
President Laura Roslin: Yes, I can, and I will. Lieutenant, look at me. You've lost perspective. During the time I've allowed him to remain alive and captive on this ship, he has caused our entire fleet to spread out defenseless. He puts insidious ideas in our minds, more lethal than any warhead. He creates fear, but you're right. He's a machine, and you don't keep a deadly machine around when it kills your people and threatens your future. You get rid of it. "

Laura Roslin- President of the Twelve Colonies(fleet that is) you are seen as both a religious beacon, with your image as the dying leader of the prophecies, as well as a skilled and magnanimous leader. Once in the game you may overturn the lynch of a player onto another. You win with the town.

Ishallanoyo: Col. Saul Tigh: [to Laura Roslin] I've sent men on suicide missions in two wars now, and let me tell you something - it don't make a godsdamn bit of difference whether they're riding in a Viper or walking out onto a parade ground. In the end, they're just as dead.
[pause]
Col. Saul Tigh: So take your piety and your moralizing and your high-minded principles, and stick 'em some place safe until you're off this rock and you're sitting in your nice cushy chair on Colonial One again. I've got a war to fight.

Colonel Saul Tigh: As XO of the Galactica, you bravely serve alongside William Adama in defense of the colonial fleet.

While on New Caprica you led the resistance against the occupying cylons, even going so far as to send men on suicide missions.

Back on board galactica after the exodus from New Caprica, you were put in charge of a group called "The Circle." A group directed to covertly kidnap and execute known cylon collaborators from New Caprica. It is because of this that you may choose to sentence one person to death, killing them, and only one person, so choose wisely. You win with the town

Zaradi:

"sometimes you gotta roll a hard six."

Commander Adama- You are Commander William Adama. The man in charge of the Battlestar Galactica yourself, you have proven that you will do whatever it takes to protect the colonial fleet. You command the respect and admiration of the entire fleet and thus take one extra vote to lynch. Beyond this you have survived multiple attempts on your life. Because of this you are unkillable. You win with the town

Mafia

Welcome to the Battlestar Galactica Mafia PM!

"Number Six: Is there anything that isn't fodder for a joke with you? Or is that really how you see our very existence, as some sort of nihilistic punchline?
Cavil: Nihilistic punchline? I like that. But quite honestly, I'm feeling very serious. Getting riddled with bullets affects me that way."

Airmax1227- Cavil: As the leader of the cylons, you have a variety of tools at your disposal with which to aid you and your cylon allies in your endeavours. You have the following three abilities:

1) Ressurection- Cyclons have the ability of ressurection. Upon the death of their "mortal bodies" they are just redownloaded into a new body. Thus you are able to ressurect one of your teammates. This person upon ressurection, will be announced as "innocent" in the game thread. The next phase they will be announced guilty.

The players affiliation will still show up as guilty to investigations though. This ability can be used only once.

2) Role-Cop- due to the various cylon sleeper agents throughout the twelve colonies fleet, you are able to figure out the role of whomever you choose. Due to the limited number of actual cylon models though, you can only investigate two players in this manner.

"I don't know if 'hate' is the right word... it's like you said at the ceremony... you said something that sounded like it wasn't the speech you had prepared. You said, 'Man never asked itself why it should survive.' Maybe you don't."

SocialPinko- Sharon Valerii(Boomer): a cylon sleeper agent aboard galactica, you have sabotaged various parts of the ship, and most notoriously, almost killing Commander Adama himself.

Due to being a sleeper agent, you will show innocent to all investigations.

You also have the ability to shoot Commander Adama, and Adama only, making the player who has the character voteless and abilityless for three day and night phases.

Once you shoot Adama though you will show guilty to all investigations, and an announcement will be made in the game thread stating that "Sharon Valerii has shot Commander
Adama!"

"They call this a 'suicide' vest, but I think that undersells all the homicide that goes along with it, don't you?"

SarcasticIndeed- Aaron Doral(Number Five): A cylon that truly hates humanity, you are most notably used as a suicide bomber in an attempt to kill Commander Adama. Once in the game you may kill another player by blowing yourself up.

You all win with the mafia. Good luck.

Side-notes:

If mafia had used ressurection at LYLO, the game would not have ended. Town would still have the opportunity to lynch scum and continue the game. This was to prevent an auto-win at LYLO, and make the game more challenging for mafia.

Something the mafia didnt know also, was that if Social(Sharon) shot the wrong person, Social wouldve been outted as guilty in the game thread, and wouldve automatically had L-1 votes put on to lynch.

Analysis of game in following post...

Oh something i forgot. In Jordans role it states he was able to detect cylons. This does not mean that cylons were mafia because "The Final Five" were cylons, but were on the side of humanity and thus good.

But, its important to note that an investigation on Ishallanoyo(Col. Saul Tigh) who's character was a cylon, wouldve shown up as human. This is because in the show, Gaius tests the final five in the process of testing the fleet, and they all showed up as non-cylon. Indicating that Gaius' test did not work on the final five.

Now onto game analysis:

Inactivty

This is really the running theme for the game. It was plagued by inactivity. Town couldnt lynch, and mafia actually forfeited a nights actions NP3, allowing the game to continue DP4.

The Quotes

Im surprised nobody picked up on the significance of the quotes in the OP's. DP2 the OP was a quote from right before Sharon Valerii shoots Commander Adama. This was to indirectly notify town exactly what character was attempted to be NK'd NP1.

DP3 the OP was a quote from Caprica Six when Gaius found out that Sharon was a cylon. This was an indirect way of telling town that the result on Airmax was valid.

DP4 the quote was significant because it again, signals that Baltar was the key to continuing the game. The quote is from when Baltar essentially randomly picked a cyclon structure as the key structure to detonate a nuclear explosive next to, in an attempt to gain enough Tillium Ore to fuel the fleet for years to come. The guess worked, just like Jordans investigation of Airmax was a valid result on a cyclon scum.

The quote in Daytonas role was also something entirely significant. How people could not glean that Daytona was obviously paranoid from the quote, idk. By god, "This is a witch hunt, and I will not have it on my ship" is blatantly obvious. The term witch hunt, shouldve been the only indicator needed.

Where are the claims?

Really this was the biggest issue besides inactivity. In a small game it shouldve been obvious that town was just a few DP's from losing from DP1. With eleven players, the only feasible mafia number is 3 players. This puts town with a maximum of 3 NK's and 1 mislynch before needing to lynch a scum guaranteed, or they lose. In such small games, the SOP should really be to have all claims(at the least characters) out by DP2, while pressure is still possible.

Chicken is soooo scum

But if anyone had done even the minutest amount of research into the show, they wouldve seen that, like Commander Adama, a claim of Laura Roslin is coming from a guaranteed townie. Roslin is one of the focal characters of the show, and honestly, guaranteed to be in a game.

MVP: there is no MVP, cause well, nobody really deserves it, except may e Jordan, but even then only because he won.

Least Valuable Player: Airmax

Airmax was set up in an optimal position, as someone with an in-depth knowledge of the show, to really easily lead mafia to victory. Yet, he was inactive, and really didnt pay attention most of the game. The most crucial detail that really makes him LVP(no offense) was the fact that Jordan claimed "Baltar."

Now Baltar, to anyone that even does the minutest amount of research into the show, let alone someone who has seen the entire show, would immediately see that Baltar would be a TP survivor. So the fact that Airmax missed this, and instead chose to kill Johnny NP4, is astounding.

Final Note

I really wish this had been a more active game. I took an overt amount of time making this game, and wanted it to be not only be full of misdirection results wise and heavily reliant upon behavioral analysis and role analysis, but also a game that challenged all involved parties in its difficulty for all factions to win. A victory from any faction wouldve involved strategic and wise usage of the roles involved. Governor, vig, etc. are all roles that inherently rely upon sound behavioral analysis to be optimally used. I think this wouldve honestly been one of the more memorable games on DDO, had people participated more. Oh well, dems da breaks.

Still, thank you to all participating players.

I made Baltar mafia in my game. The guy should have been lynched, regardless.

/agree

He is my fave character though, so of course I would make him TP(my favored affiliation)

I'm not sure if town had a chance in this game, resurrection seems a bit over-powered with the announcement that the guy is innocent. Still, I think overall much better balance than your previous game.

A good point, but if someone who was mafia gets ressurected, even if the mod announces them innocent, they were "ressurected" which means they have the same character and role, and if they have the same character and role, they likely have the same affiliation. Easy enough conclusion to reach, and in the future people should keep in mind to distrust mod announents i make in games, and come to their own conclusions independent of such announcements, cause, and you can hold me to this, i dislike the concept of a mod confirming someone, like the role innocent child. I dont see myself ever considering using such a role in a game.

I think had ressurection been used, most people wouldnt of bought the "player X is innocent" anyways.

Thank you by the way, i really tried to make sure that neither side really had an "easy" way to a win. I Tried to make the game challenging for all parties involved, and imo i might not have fully accomplished it, but i came close enough.

I dont know about this theme at all so I assumed my character was a decent enough claim based on my role PM. Good thing no one said anything. I think my role claim of 1 shot cop sort of helped me.
