On this site, you can do one or both of these two things:

A. Talk about a video game idea that you've thought up (or comment on someone else's idea)
B. Post links to a video game that you've actually created

If anyone actually posts on this thread, it should be pretty interesting, I think.

Game Idea:

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Virtual Echoes

After an unknown catastrophe that wrecked the environment of the Pokemon world, the brightest Pokemon minds created the "Dream World," where the consciousnesses of thousands of Pokemon are to live while their bodies stay in cryostasis. The Master Server is a program designed to regulate the artificial environment of the Dream World and to wake the thousands of hibernating Pokemon up after the real world has sufficiently recovered from the catastrophe. When their physical bodies die, so do their dream bodies. Unfortunately, this goes both ways: if their dream bodies are destroyed, they will die. Reproduction is regulated by the Master Server so that population doesn't decline.

The program works great, for the first 20 years. But then, "copy programs" of the real Pokemon's dream bodies begin forming due to malfunctions with the Master Server. Most of these glitchy copies, called "Echoes," are not intelligent, though some of them are. Fighting breaks out between the Echoes and the Real Pokemon, and for twenty years the "Echo War" rages on.
40 years into the Dream World's existence, a peace agreement is agreed between the seven Echo Commanders and the governing body of the Real Pokemon living in the Dream World. According to the peace agreement, the Echoes are allowed to live in the wild lands while the Real Pokemon live in various settlements.
But to find supplies, many Pokemon venture into the wild lands, called the "dungeons," to find supplies necessary for survival. Most of the Echoes are physically inferior to real Pokemon, and thus are easily deleted. This makes dungeon exploration possible. Of course, some Echoes are quite powerful.

After completing a little quiz, your starter Pokemon is selected for you. It's one of these twenty Pokemon: Pikachu, Eevee, Bulbasaur, Charmandar, Squirtle, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Chespin, Fenniken, and Froakie.
This would suggest, and rightfully so, that this is the Kalos Mystery Dungeon game.
After this quiz and selection is done, you get to choose a partner Pokemon, which can be any of these except for a Pokemon of the type that the main character is.

Just so that I don't have to say "main player" and "partner Pokemon" over and over again, we'll just say that Charmander is the main player Pokemon and Chespin is the partner Pokemon. Charmander in this case is a boy, as is Chespin.

So, Charmander wakes up in a field. Chespin is standing over him, and Chespin is relieved to find that Charmander is okay. Chespin introduces himself, and then Charmander introduces himself (you have the option of giving him a name). Charmander says that he is a human, a claim that Chespin just laughs at,
After the introduction is through, the two see a real Dedenne being led by an Echo Scyther into a dungeon.
Determined to save that Dedenne, Charmander and Chespin quickly form an Exploration Team and head into that dungeon.
And so it begins...
