Has anybody played Bravely Default for the 3DS?

no i haven't but isn't it a part of final fantasy
Epsilon: There are so many stories where some brave hero decides to give their life to save the day, and because of their sacrifice, the good guys win, the survivors all cheer, and everybody lives happily ever after. But the hero... never gets to see that ending. They'll never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference. They'll never know if the day was really saved. In the end, they just have to have faith.

It's a Square Enix JRPG--so...kinda? Technically it's not part of the same series, but it uses a lot of the same themes and concepts.

The vast majority of their games are at least "sorta" in the same universe--but not even the FF games can be directly said to all be in the same one--it's not like there's a continuing plot per se (with things like the sequels-to-the-numbers notwithstanding).

Sephiroth is only in VII...the previous 6 are not directly related. All the games use words from history and recurring items (Excalibur, Peace Ring), but they do not take place in the same world (I suppose you could argue they could take place in the same universe, but on, say, different planets).

now i know why i was confused off of each game sprouts of a different series like there are multiple ff7 games and so on and so forth

Only a few actually have sequels--7 has sequels because it was so popular, and 13 has like a gajillion sequels because they, I guess, hoped they could force it to be popular? (I hated it). I have no idea if XIV has any sequels, actually, I didn't pay attention to it...and then XV is coming out soon. I think those are the only ones with real sequels--the rest are all self-contained, one shot universes with common themes and elements. Bravely Default would fit right in, though there's a few famous elements missing--no Chocobo, no Materia.
