"Resistance" is a game that is similar to Mafia in several respects, yet is a completely different game. Like Mafia, it pits the uninformed majority against an informed minority, which seeks to sabotage and ultimately defeat the majority. If the majority does not figure out who is in the minority, they will likely lose.

Format: A resistance group is trying to overthrow a larger entity, such as a tyrannical regime. The regime has managed to place spies inside the Resistance. The game pits the Resistance against the Spies.

The game consists of five missions. 2 players are selected to carry out the first mission. 3 players are selected to carry out the second mission. 2 players are selected to carry out the third mission. 3 players are selected to carry out the fourth mission. 3 players are selected to carry out the fifth mission.
Each mission consists simply of this: each person on the mission puts down a "card". A spy can either put down the "Success" card or the "Fail" card. Resistance can only put down the "Success" card during missions. If even just one person (that is, one Spy) on the mission puts down "Fail", the Spies will win that round. If everyone on the mission puts down "Success", then the Resistance will win that round. The side that wins 3 out of 5 missions wins.

Deciding Who Goes on a Mission:
One participant per turn will be the "Mission Leader". The Mission Leader gets to select who is on a team. Once he or she decides on a team, all players will vote on whether or not that selection of players will be on the mission. Players vote "Yes" or "No" on whether or not that team will be on the mission. If the majority votes "Yes", then the mission will take place. If the majority votes "No", then someone else will be "Mission Leader" for that turn and there will be another attempt to put a team together.
Most of the game, in fact, will consist of deciding on a team. It's in the best interests of the spies for at least one of them to be on each mission, while at the same time not being exposed as spies.

Themes: like Mafia, Resistance games may have a theme. Perhaps you're Luke Skywalker and his rebel allies trying to defeat the Galactic Empire, or perhaps you're with the German Resistance trying to overthrow Hitler's regime. The Gamemaster may decide on a theme.

I'm /in. I've heard about this game (my brother plays it) and I've been interested in trying it for some time.
Fill all my holes, please.

This isn't a signups thread. However, hopefully in a few days I'll be hosting a Beginner's Resistance game. Do you wish for me to contact you whenever it's up?

This game requires at least one substitute player. I'm asking somebody to step forward and volunteer.
