PREFACE

I will not begin this game until one of the existing games ends. Since it will take awhile to fill up, I am posting my signups now. I hope that this game fills up, and I hope that everyone who signs up has fun.

The way this works is that there are 4 thematic options for players to choose from. If you sign-up for the game, you sign-up for whatever option ends up being selected. So, please be ready to take on any of the options below--I think they're all fun, though some are more ambitious than others, from my POV.

When you sign up, you can vote for which option you want; you have 2 votes that you can split between the choices (give all two for one, or one vote for two). Furthermore, depending on how many people sign-up, not all options will be able to be voted on. If we only get 15 people, only options that accommodate that number of people can be selected. If there is a tie, I will just choose which of the tied games will be selected.

I'll go over the games' rules in the DP OP at the onset of the game--the rules will be similar, though not identical, to the rules I've employed in prior games. I will now review each of the four options available; hopefully they all seem appealing.

OPTIONS

Option 1: Magical Creatures Mafia

The games has a semi-open set-up. By this I mean there is a list of roles and flavors given at the start of the game, and that all players will receive a role and maybe a flavor from that list. All roles are pretty standard, and can be easily researched on MafiaScum. All magical creatures can similarly be researched with a 10 minute internet search--my goal is not to be overly confusing. There maybe some slight twists in the game, but the emphasis there, IMO, is on "slight." If you're looking for a standard mafia game, this one fits that description.

For this game, I am looking for between 15 and 17 players.

Option 2: Wildlife Mafia

This game is, fairly clearly, about wildlife. Particularly, every character will be a living, non-human organism. Most roles are standard, traditional roles. I got a bit more creative and out of the box here with the twists. I am confident that it's balanced and that this should be a fun, non-confusing game. Frankly, I had a lot of fun thinking up role justifications for each character-role pairing, lol. All animals should be easily researched on Wikipedia, and so the theme itself shouldn't be too out-there either.

For this set-up, I am looking for between 15 and 16 players.

Option 3: Literature

This game of mafia should hopefully expand your literary repertoire. Role justifications will take the form of quotations from specific pieces. I will not confirm whether it is the piece or the author that is the character--you'll find out once the game begins. This game has twists designed to give players greater freedom in the game space, and some of those twists have been inspired by games I've seen or participated in, so I know they work. I think it has enough variety to keep things interesting without going overboard.

For this game, I'm looking for 16 players even.

Option 4: Star Trek: Deep Space 9 Mafia

This is a straightforward mafia game with pretty straightforward roles. The theme is centered around Star Trek: Deep Space 9, which is a television series within the Star Trek franchise. All material will be canon, and easily researchable on the Star Trek wiki, called Memory Alpha. So, even if you're not too familiar with the show, it should be easy to find out the information you need to play. I am totally confident that this set up is balanced.

For this game, I'm looking for between 15 and 17 players.

I'll post the sign-up sheet in a second. If you find even one or two of these options appealing, please consider signing-up. Thank you!

In the middle of a move. I'll either have too much time to play this game, or not enough time, depending on how quick I am able to land a job in florida. I'll keep you posted.

I want to exhaust these topics first, 'cause I've already designed set ups for them...
