Dr. Seuss versus Roald Dahl

RULES:
-NO copy pasting of roles. No exceptions. Detailed summaries of how the role works are allowed.
-First lynch is final lynch, unvotes DON'T count. No exceptions.
-You CANNOT speak after I have called the Day Phase as finished. No exceptions.
-Please vote like this: "VOTE TO LYNCH tvellalott", "VOTE tvellalott" or "VTL tvellalott". Vote will ONLY be counted if they are bolded and in one of these formats. No exceptions.
-DON'T talk about this game outside the appropriate places. No exceptions.
-You may post one final "Avenge me" after you die, but NO STRATEGY!!! No exceptions.
-Lurking is accepted to an extent but a lack of participation will lead to your replacement. If you won't be able to post for more than 24 hours, please make a public announcement. You will be nudged, than you will be replaced. There may be exceptions here, at my discretion.
-Suspect everybody. No exceptions.

NOTE:
I've flavoured a lot of roles and even invented completely unique ones for this game to make them relevant to the theme and characters. I read a whole heap of Large Themed Games on mafiascum and saw what worked well. I hope you have fun with this crazy thing.

STORY:
After several shipments of magical books were delivered to an antique book-dealer, strange things start happening. Many of the characters of the classic children's authors Roald Dahl and Dr. Seuss have come to life and gathered here, to find out who is superior.
They may be wearing the meat suits of the people of DDO, but if something expected were to happen, perhaps some sign would be exposed…

Will it be the troublesome characters of Dr Seuss who triumph, tricking and lying their way to victory? Or will it be the down trodden child heroes of Roald Dahl who see through the masquerade and eliminate all of their threats. Is there someone else here? Some mystery character from yet another classic children's author, hoping to take advantage of the situation…

All I know is there is going to be a fish bowl on the ceiling at some point.

MOD NOTE:
I'm an idiot and I didn't add "You are aligned with the Town" or "You are aligned with the Mafia" to any of the roles.

If you're a Dr. Seuss character, you're mafia.
If you're a Roald Dahl character, you're town.

That is all.

VTL BADGER

Begin!
It is odd when one's capacity for compassion is measured not in what he is willing to do by his own time, effort, and property, but what he will force others to do with their own property instead.

No it doesn't.
You can change your vote or unvote, but if someone reaches the maximum number of votes (ie. 7 in this day phase) they will be lynched regardless of whether people unvote afterwards.

Oh okay. I totally misread that.
In that case pressure away.
But please not me. I'm sick of always being pressured >.>

Ah, that makes more sense.

Just checking in for tonight; I cannot stay up very late tonight, but I can participate more tomorrow. See you all then.

Pfft. Bold it, dude. And justifying your vote with a number generator is kinda lame, y'know, 'cause no one is going to suspect you.

actually its pretty much the most reasonable way to start the game as far as i am concerned. its gotta start somehow.

i am the earthworm. next!

since i don't have a gaia account i am just gonna say vote mongoose. he's already got one vote on him anyways. makes for efficient pressuring.

Fantastic Mr. Fox

I say we pressure badger as I wanted to before.

I've never been in a game this big. Doesn't it typically make sense to vote no lynch with this many players?

generally no lynch is a bad idea because the process of a lynch tends to force people to be more active and helps people get an idea of who is behaving suspiciously

I just played beginner mafia with only 7 players, so this seems relatively big.
