Do you think MTV's teen mom glorifies teen pregnancy or shows the true risks and perils involved in such circumstances? These girls are plastered all over the covers of magazines and are earning big bucks for the show and for public appearances. How is that not glorifying it?

I don't think it does. I have watched that show and it DOES NOT make being a teen mom look fun or glam.

I've never watched the show but I've heard teenagers have been getting pregnant on purpose just for the chance to be on it. They make a lot of money... beats working at McDonald's in some ways I guess.

Working at McDonald's is not bad at all. Where I live, minimum wage is like $10-something. I've been working my job for 3 years and I only make 3 more dollars than someone working entry level at McDonald's--and I have to do a crapload more thinking.

Plus they can work as many hours as they want. My employers are too cheap to give me extra hours for the summer. So technically, I make less than someone working at McDonalds :p

I once watched a marathon of 16 and Pregnant. Didn't seem pro-Teen pregnancy at all.

It is seemingly glorifying it.

But at the same time it's also raising awareness about teen pregnancy and birth control.

To some people they might view the show and think teen pregnancy is cool.
To others they may view it as a sad way to ruin teen hood.
To me it is showing the awful truth behind the lack of knowledge these kids have on contraceptives and sexual activity.
