Guess who just got certified to be a bartender? I'll be job hunting next week, but I don't know what I'll do in school since I live in the middle of nowhere.

Anyway, what are your favorite drinks? I've been dealing with these like 4 hours everyday for the past week so I'm been thinking in terms of liquors, liqueurs and mixers for at least the past week now.

heineken! for shots i'm fairly fond of the taste of goldschalger and jagermeister, though i'd usually only drink them if it were with somebody else who'd pretty much forced me to..

i'd drink a few teachers if 'twas a lazy night.

Paralyzer:
1/2 oz Tequila
1/2 oz Vodka
1/2 oz Kahlua
4 oz Milk
4 1/2 oz Coca-Cola

Those are the standard amounts but I tend to double the Vodka and Tequila. Sometimes even triple... Lol. :)

Maybe one shot, but personally, if I have more then one drink with milk in it, it's coming up.

That's what I thought at first. But it just adds a creaminess to it -- you don't actually taste the milk.

Boston Collins? I know Tom, John, and Vodka of the Collins' family. Also haven't heard of a singapore sling, but this is helpful just in terms of evaluating what I can and can't make as well as learning some new recipes. Everything else on there I could theoertically make you, although I better get a good tip for the last one. I have no problem making martinis but the flavored ones are a different story.

That go in a pint glass? You don't usually think of tequila and kahlua/milk mix going together, but I admire the ingenuity. Milk and coke is insane, though.

Mixed Drinks:

Irish Car Bomb
Adios Mothafvcka

Beer:

Miller Light
Miller Highlife
Coors
Pabst Blue Ribbon

Sorry, but those are the best. I judge beer by taste. I've had foreign beers, all the common ones, the highly praised New Castle is disgusting, and I don't care for any of those except the ones I just listed.

I posted this recipe since most people think it sounds disgusting but then they try it and love it. Trust me, its a lot better than it sounds. You need both the milk and coke. You can use light cream if you want but I think the milk helps cut the carbonation of the coke without overpowering the alcohol.

Shoot - I meant Tom. I think I might have gotten the old cheers restaurant name for it mixed up with the actual drink.

A singapore sling is like pink lemonade, whereas the Tom Collins is like lemonade.

Light beer is a waste.

If you are drinking it to be 'frugal' calorically speaking, you have to drink twice as much to get a buzz.

I think that MG64 might be the only exception to this.

I don't know - it's like pizza and liquor to me. That's another combo that will come up at the slightest provocation.

Ok, I like Heineken and Corona too, but they're not favorites.

Well, to be fair, I'm really only referring to the major brands. There are some smaller companies that are decent. I like Stroh's, but I'm from Michigan, so that's pretty much required. Then of course you have various microbrews and whatnot.
