Someone who isn't me was once told that marijuana increases sexual desire and sexual pleasure. So he smoked one fun night while in a cool social setting, got super high, wanted to have sex to try out the increase in pleasure it supposedly bestowed upon the user, only to be disappointed in being unable to 'get it up.' Not only that, but he couldn't even arouse his partner, because the weed impaired his cognitive functioning.

The second time he had sex with a gorgeous blonde in a public park. Then he lit up a nice fat doobie and brought brought her to a hotel for more fun. They got all hot and heavy, she put perfect a$$ in the air, ready to be entered, and then... he couldn't get it up.

He was an athletic, happy male with a good diet and plenty of fantastic sexual experiences, but whenever he smoked weed or drank alcohol, his penis ceased to function.

Recreational drugs that cause impotence (at least during their short-term effects):

Alcohol
Amphetamines
Barbiturates
Cocaine
Marijuana
Heroin
Nicotine

"What most concerns Shamloul is a study published in 2010 in the journal European Urology. In that study, researchers found receptors for tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the active ingredient in marijuana, in penis tissue from five male patients and six rhesus monkeys. These receptors were mainly in the smooth muscle of the penis, Shamloul said. Additional lab studies suggest that THC has an inhibitory effect on the muscle. This is a more serious effect on the erectile function because the smooth muscle makes up 70 percent to 80 percent of the penis itself," Shamloul said."

"Her study...found that marijuana users have a slightly elevated risk of inhibited orgasms and pain during sex."

Can't you be a bit more creative and use something other than SWIM?

Or lose the race to rats
Get caught in ticking traps
And start to dream of somewhere
To relax their restless flight
Somewhere out of a memory of lighted streets on quiet nights..."

I am a firm believer in mind over matter; if you knew how far I took that concept, you would perhaps think me stark raving mad; but let's just say for now that I think it pertains to impotence in a much more profound way than what you are considering.

Someone who isn't you doesn't smoke enough weed obviously. I love stoned sex.
Alcohol has this effect on me though; drunk sex is awful.

"Sexual dysfunction is common in patients with alcohol dependence. Heavy drinking proportionately increases the risk. Clinicians need to routinely assess sexual functioning in alcoholic patients so that other factors contributing to sexual dysfunction can be ruled out."

Study: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov...

"If either partner in a relationship is an alcoholic, then sexual difficulties will almost certainly be one of the consequences of the problem. For men, this most commonly manifests itself as erectile dysfunction (ED), which can be present even when you are sober. Alcoholism also has an adverse effect upon libido: long-standing alcoholism is accompanied by various hormone problems, among which is a fall in testosterone output. Sex is unlikely to be an attractive activity for anyone who has an inebriated partner; this is just one aspect of the relationship problems that alcoholism brings."

I've been researching it more. Apparently 3/4ths of pot smokers say that smoking increases their sexual experience, whereas the rest are neutral or claim that it prevents them from getting an erection, etc.

On your second sentence I have two words: Whiskey Dick.

High sex is definitely really good--I think there's something to be said about the concentrations of certain cannabinoids in different strains, though, because I've never smoked anything giving me erectile problems. You might try smoking heavy indica strains--the bodily euphoria you want comes with higher concentrations of CBD (of which there is usually 400-500% more in indica than in sativa), whereas the THC-intensive sativa strains can cause anxiety, paranoia, etc.--negative brain states which jointly impair one's ability, among other things, to sustain a hard-on.

The Great Bear has spoken! He'll have to experiment with this two more times. It really was frustrating losing out on the sex both of those previous times, but from all of the fantastic stories he's heard about high sex, he thinks it's worth the risk.
