Is it because it just wouldn't work or are there health problems if newborns are vaccinated?

Why not just vaccinate everybody for everything fresh out of the womb?

They are vaccinated for Hep B, & around the 2 month mark 5 more are added. So, I guess your question is kinda the wrong one to ask. The other question you ask is answered by some of the vaccine's side effects that can manifest themselves to mask other problems a newborn may have. By the 2 month period, the overall infants health is usually determined & side effects can be distinguished from other problems that the infant may already have & therefore documented.

They actually do get vaccinated, it's just that the only one they can receive is hepatitis B. I don't know why the rest have to wait a bit, but they get a ton more at the two month mark.
