- Many scientific studies confirm that the best food for fasting people is "dates" with water because it contains all needed vitamins, sugars and minerals, hence the prophet says in the prophetic hadith "when you break your fasting eat dates and if you don"t have dates drink water"{narrated by Abu- Dawood}.

Ramadan is a very special month for the Muslims, as in it Muslims around the world perform various types of worship, the most important of them being fasting. This fasting of Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam, mandatory upon all adolescents and adults who have the ability. Ramadan is also the month in which the first revelation came to the Prophet Muhammad, and thus is called the "Month of the Quran". During this month, there is a noticeable change in people"s lives as well as societies. This article will describe a typical day of a Muslim during this month of forgiveness.

- Dear beloved, fasting is not just a worship "it is a treatment and healing for many diseases "it is a renewal method for our body cells and the activityof the entire body"as a result it is to renew our entire life and when we realize benefits offasting we really touch its sweetness, Allah Almighty says: (O you who believe! Observing As-Saum (the fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqun) {S"rat Al-Baqarah-The Cow-verse 183 }.

- The scientists confirm that the best cure for the accumulation of poisons in the body is the fasting because it helps in cleaning the cells from these poisons ,prophet Mohamed peace be upon him says :" fasting is a protection" {narrated by Muslim}. Indeed it is a protection from many diseases by increasing the activity of our cells.

- Physicians assure that fasting activates our immune system "as the resistance of the body increases against all diseases. The immune system is a group of soldiers who guards the body from many viruses and harmful bacteria. Hence fasting is an effective weapon to help the body to defend itself.

- A medical fact: fasting is a main reason behind the long life!!!! Many non-Muslims had authored many books about the different benefits of fasting and they concluded that frequent fasting people lives longer than those who don"t fast!! Glory to Allah Almighty who prescribed the fasting for us as He Almighty says: (O you who believe! Observing As-Saum (the fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqun){S"rat Al-Baqarah-The Cow-verse 183 }.

- Recent studies confirm that the ideal time to stop the smoking habit is the holy month of Ramadan!! Because fasting cleans the cells from the poisons of the tobacco , so Ramadan helps smokers to give up smoking as long as they sincerely supplicates Allah Almighty to support them to do that "it is amazing to know that non- Muslims are using fasting to cure smokers from smoking, what about us as Muslims?

- Many scientific studies say that praying helps in the healing from many diseases such as back pains and joints pains. Also the submissiveness during praying has a strange power in curing many chronic diseases especially during fasting. Allah Almighty says: (And that you fast, it is better for you if only you know){S"rat Al-Baqarah-The Cow-verse 184}.

Every Muslim who is adult and in possession of his faculties must fast Ramadan. They are exempted, however, in the following cases:

1. Women in menstruation, or in child-birth bleeding.
2. Persons on sick bed, or on a journey.

The Qur'an requires Muslims to fast during the month of Ramadan from sunrise to sunset.

However, there are exceptions to this. One of them is that people who are ill or have medical conditions do not have to fast. This includes people with diabetes.

As more than a billion Muslims begin the observation this week of the holy month of Ramadan, Wael Mousfar will be among them. Mousfar, 62, is a Type 2 diabetic, so marking the holy month with the customary fasting during daylight can play havoc with his blood sugar and insulin levels. But Mousfar said he"s not worried.
"I will be fasting for sure," he told ABC News. "I"ve been doing it all my all life. I would not stop during Ramadan, the fast."
Mousfar, of New York City, has been a diabetic for over 20 years, but said his diabetes hasn"t stopped him from observing Ramadan."I really look at fasting as spiritual," Mousfar said. "It"s body and soul work together.

-O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that ye may (learn) self-restraint. [Quran 2:183]

- Jewish: Yom Kippur ("Day of Atonement") is the last of the Ten Days of Repentance observed on the 10th of Tishri.
-On that day, it is forbidden to eat, drink, wash, wear leather, or have sexual relations. In addition, prohibitions on labor similar to those on the Sabbath are in force.[3]
-It should also be noted that Moses (peace be upon him) is recorded in the Torah to have fasted:
-"And he was there with the Lord 40 days and 40 nights, he neither ate bread not drank water." (Exodus 34:28)
-
-Christian For Catholics Christians, Lent is the major season of fasting, imitative of the forty-day fast of Jesus (peace be upon him).
-In the fourth century it was observed as six weeks of fasting before Easter or before Holy Week. It was adjusted to forty days of actual fasting in most places in the seventh century.[4]
-
-Jesus (peace be upon him) is recorded in the Gospels to have fasted like Moses. "And he fasted 40 days and 40 nights, and afterward he was hungry." (Matthew 4:2 & Luke 4:2)
-
-It is in this context God states in the Quran:
-
- "O believers! Fasting has been prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you in order that you become more conscious of God."
- [Noble Quran 2:183]
-
-Righteous Deeds Among the Best Righteous Deeds
-
-Although in most religions, fasting is for expiation of sin or atonement for sin, in Islam it is primarily to bring one closer to God, as stated in the above-mentioned verse.
-
-Since, God-consciousness is the prerequisite for righteousness, great stress is placed on fasting in Islam.
-
-Therefore, it is not surprising to find that when Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was asked "Which is the best deed?" He replied, "Fasting, for there is nothing equal to it."
-
-
-
-Ramadan is a month of fasting and prayers for the Muslims. The fast consists of total abstinence from food and drink from dawn to dusk. There is, however, a greater significance to fasts than mere abstinence from eating and drinking. The real objective of fasts is to inculcate in man the spirit of abstinence from sins and of cultivation of virtue. Thus the Qur'an declares that the fasts have been prescribed with a view to developing piety in man

There are other special features in Ramadan.
The Last Ten Nights
1. "Indeed we have revealed it (the Quran) in the Honored Night.
2. And what will explain to you what the Honored Night is?
3. The Honored Night is better than a thousand months.
4. In it, the angels descend as well as the Spirit (Gabriel) by the permission of their Lord, with all types of decrees.
5. "Peace" it is until the rising of dawn." (Quran:97:1-5)

It was Ramadan in which the Quran was revealed from the heavens to the Earth. More specifically, it was one of the last ten nights of this blessed month. The Prophet said:
"Seek the Honored Night in the last ten." (Saheeh Al-Bukhari)
On that night, worship and good deeds are better than performing them for a thousand months, as mentioned in the verses above. Thus the Prophet would increase his worship by staying awake the whole night in worship.

"When he entered the [last] ten [nights] of Ramadan, the Prophet would "rollup his sleeves" and give life to the whole night, and waken his family." (Saheeh Al-Bukhari)
Muslims in Ramadan seek this Honored Night in order that they may be given an increase in reward. Muslims spend the whole night in worship, from praying the taraweeh prayer to reading the Quran, supplicating to God, and praying extra voluntary prayers. During these nights, there is even an extra

congregational prayer held in the mosques which lasts for about an hour and a half to two hours up until the time of the predawn meal. Nights are alive with worship, and people for these ten nights expend all efforts in doing so, seeking that they may have spent the Honored Night in the worship of God. The Prophet said:
"Whoever stood in prayer in the Honored Night, believing in God and hoping for His reward, all his previous sins will be forgiven." (Saheeh Al-Bukhari)
Ramadan is a month of forgiveness, and people hope that they will people from those who are saved from the Fire:
"God chooses who will be saved from the Fire (in Ramadan), and that is every night." (Al-Tirmidhi)
For this reason in Ramadan, people fast, pray, and seek the Honored Night in order that they may be forgiven for their shortcomings and enter Paradise.

- One of the marvelous facts is that eating dates organize functions of the liver and helps to getting rid of poisons. When a person breaks the fasting by eating dates it considered to be the best natural medicine to maintain the liver from the accumulated poisons. Also the researchers confirm that eating dates continually prevents from liver diseases. Now we understand why the prophet peace be upon him used to break his fasting by dates and also he used to eat dates every morning!!!

- The scientists found that fasting doesn"t harm diabetics as long as they are under medical supervision but it helps them to be treated. They say the reason behind that is the good and stable psychological status of the fasting diabetics as they are surrounded by calm and peace where the disorders and anxiety are far away, and that helps in the effective organizing of the work of different organs such as functions of the pancreas, Allah Almighty says: (And that you fast, it is better for you if only you know) {S"rat Al-Baqarah- The Cow-verse 184}.

- Many scientific studies showed that fasting is a free way to renew and activate cells of the body as the fasting doubles the life of these cells! Hence the scientists confirm that there is a direct relation between fasting and the long life and good health. Fasting is the best way to clean the cells which delays aging.

- Many chronic and high blood pressure patients are treated by chemical medicines with limited results. But fasting is a good treatment for those patients as recent studies proved that giving up eating and drinking for limited periods purifies the body from the poisons and reduce the cholesterol and the blood fats. Therefore, fasting is an ideal treatment for some chronic diseases, here Allah Almighty says: (And that you fast, it is better for you if only you know) {S"rat Al-Baqarah- The Cow-verse).

Happy days......^_^

Each year, Islamic and Arab nation well

And Muslims all over the world to the health and happiness

Eid-Al-Fitr is one of the major holidays of Islam. It comes at the end of the holy month of Ramadan and celebrates the end of the fasting. The holiday comes on the first day of the 10th month in the Islamic lunar calendar.

Because the month of Ramadan is all about fasting, Eid-Al-Fitr is all about NOT fasting. During Ramadan, Muslims have not eaten while the Sun is in the sky. On Eid-Al-Fitr, they celebrate the end of Ramadan with a sweet snack and then get ready for a day of celebration.

On this day, Muslims are encouraged to dress in their best clothes and attend a special Eid prayer at their neighborhood mosque. Before the prayer begins, Muslims make an alms payment (the Zakat al Fitr) Corner of the five pillars of Islam
Such as prayer and fasting
Take money from the rich and the poor are given
Thereby achieving social solidarity in Islam

for the month of Ramadan, in the form of food or its cash equivalent. This food and / or money is then distributed to the poor. After the special religious service, the focus turns to gift-giving. Children are given many gifts. Women get gifts from their loved ones. Also on this day, people are encouraged to settle feuds or disputes, especially those between family members.

Eid Al-Fitr means "Feast of Fast-Breaking." It is often celebrated during three days, with the first day marking the end of Ramadan.

NATIVE DEEN -- Small Deeds

eid al fitr--DR Zakir Naik

https://www.youtube.com...

Eid is celebration. Fitr comes from the word fitrah, meaning natural.

Yes, Ramadhan will end shortly, at 6.15 am and we muslims will celebrate EidulFitri. But using the word 'celebration' gives a wrong idea to non-muslims. It's not partying. We are celebrating with praises of God. And we can eat as usual once more, coming back to the natural way of things. Hence, the name Fitrah.

Enjoy your holidays people

The occasion is Eid ul-Fitr which means 'festivity of breaking the fast'...

It is the celebration after the fast of the month of Ramadan... Ramadan is the month of the Quranic revelation, Muslims use this month to reconnect to the Quran and build a stronger relationship with Allah. This is achieved by fasting from food and s-exual activities with one's spouse during the daylight hours, refraining from foul and shameless language and actions, increased acts of charity to the less fortunate, reciting the word of God Etc...

We learn self restraint against our permitted human desires and hopefully would build stronger restraint against desires that are not permissible.

Basically making a stronger effort to be the best you can be and come out a better human being at the end... It is like a training course for the muslim... At the end of the course, we get our certificate and a feast.... We repeat the training course once every year..

During Eid celebration for Muslims
Differs from non-Muslim celebration

Not adultery - not drinking alcohol - not for committing sins
But

First thanks to God through the Eid prayer
Then
Wear the best clothes

Visit neighbors and friends and uphold the ties of kinship
Exchanging gifts
And enjoy the beautiful in public places
And enjoy the happy days

Enjoy life
allah guide you to Islam#!
Jazakal-lah akhir

And also if one goes to a congregational place then there is no other{sunnah} prayer before the two Rakaats of Eid prayer meaning one just sits down the congregational place and continues with the Takbeer without performing any form of sunnah prayer{Qabliyah}.But if one prays in a Mosque then one is recommended to greet the mosque with two greeting-of-the-mosque Rakaats.

There are many Prophetic narrations which clarify the days that are desirable for a Muslim to fast; they are as follows:

1. Six days from the month of Shawwaal: Abu Ayyoob Al "Ansaari may Allaah be pleased with him narrated that the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: "He who fasts Ramadan and follows it with six days of Shawwaal, this is as if he fasted for the whole year." Three days of every month: Abu Hurayrah and Abu Tharr may Allaah be pleased with them said: "TheProphet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) advised us never to quit (praying) the two Rak'ahs of Ad-Dhuha, and the Witr (prayer) before going to bed (at night); and to fast three days of every month. It is desirable if these days are the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth days (of each lunar month)." [Muslim]
