So once again I am taking my teachers advice and coming to pick your brains on the new NFL topic:

"Resolved the abuse of illegal drugs ought to be treated as a matter of public health not criminal justice."
Demons run when a good man goes to war;
Night will fall and drown the sun
When a good man goes to war.
Friendship dies and true love lies,
Night will fall and the dark will rise,
When a good man goes to war,
Demons run, but count the cost,
The battle's won, but the child is lost,
When a good man goes to war.

It ought not to be treated as anything. Treating it as public health only further justifies more boneheaded actions by the authorities to waste our money and fail us miserably. I have to wonder why everyone is so intent on getting their noses into other people's business; if you're that curious about it, just do the drugs yourself or leave us alone!

I absolutely agree that the drug issue should be a matter of health, instead of a legal issue. As a recreational drug user and a registered voter, I would love the opportunity to vote for a candidate with legalization high on his/her agenda. Unfortunately, because I reside in a conservative state, I fear I will not get the opportunity. I guess I just have to admire the other states making moves in the right direction.
